Hands On
While we're here, here's a little update on Hands On.
There's still a lot to do but we're chipping away and aiming to get the game into a sharable state in the next month or so, so that we can get it out into your hands for some testing and feedback rounds. (if you'd like to help with testing, hop into our discord server)
We've made some good progress on the community levels aspect of the game, we're able to upload, download and upvote levels which is quite exciting. There are still some kinks to clean up but that's one big system more or less checked off the todo list.
Our team has also grown! We're officially joined by BarryLawnmower, who will be assisting on the coding side of the project. He's already helped with the mobile port and has been hard at work implementing localization and tooling to help make development smoother, we're stoked to have him on the team!
If you haven't already, be sure to wishlist Handshakes: Hands On, it really helps us out and you get to stay in the loop once the game is eventually released.

Here's a little game update and announcement.
We've added a speedrun.com leaderboard integration to show off the top verified speedruns for those who want to take their runs more seriously. Check out speedrun.com/handshakes.
Menu Stuff

Adds a button to view the speedrun.com top runs
Speedrun timer now displays in minutes:seconds.ms (ms is not tracked in leaderboards but some of you like to get granular with your personal bests)
Added level specific personal best time tracking
Special menu buttons are now accessable via controller (discord, twitter etc)
Bug Fixes

Fixes needing to double press movement button after arm being cut
Fixes difference between displayed speedrun time & submitted time (there was sometimes a 1 second difference due to a rounding error)
Soundtrack Supporter Pack 🎵
We wanted to offer those who can and wish to a way to support us. In the coming weeks we'll be releasing the Handshakes Soundtrack Supporter Pack!
It includes the Handshakes theme song and two bonus tracks to sweeten the deal, MIDI files for the musicians among you and we've put together a digital 15 page "thank you" bio & postmortem PDF for those who'd like to learn a bit about us and the journey of making Handshakes.

We figured Marvel Snap (and that one Handshakes clone) needed some competition so we've been working on a little side project bringing Handshakes to android!
Maybe you're itch'n for another play through, or wanna snag the achievements again on another platform, or maybe you've got some friends or family who aren't kewl enough to be on steam but who have an android? Well steal their phone, slap Handshakes on it and let em shake some hands!
You can get Handshakes on the play store here.
Or, just search for Handshakes and keep an eye out for the yellow Shaker.
It's free to play, free of ads and free to download and rate even if you're not planing on playing just cause you wanna help us trick master Googs into thinking it's a popular game 😉
For those of you who don't like the Googs but would still like to play on android, we've uploaded the android APK over on the itch.io page. (Just click on download and the Mobile APK will be included)

A few updates on Steam:

The leaderboard is now a scrollable list
Included some improvements to how input is handled, this should alleviate input loss when you speedrunners press buttons too quickly.
Hopefully fixed a weird bug where the left hand is unmovable until the menu has been opened and closed (if not, then back to the drawing board).

The Bug, The Typo and The Big 500
Little update for today: - Fixed a bug where save data (the unlocked level selection) is lost when exiting and starting the game in Speedrun Mode (thanks Bear19 for finding that one!) - Typo fix cause I don't know how to spell "sequel" 🥲 - A mac build is now uploaded for testing
