Wow, well it sure has been a super long time since I did anything game making-related at all! To save everyone a giant story, the gist is that I pretty much retired from doing this and have been concentrating on making music instead. That said, there have been a few things that a
Happy October (so far) and all that, it's time for another game update! This time we have some new content, as well as the regular balance tweaks and etc. ADDITIONS New enemy: Ghoul Girl. These are uncommon undead who are slightly tougher versions of regular zombies. The can appe
Some small stuff but it's good: Reading The Warren Peace in battle now gives you +5 stamina (was +3). I did this mostly because I found myself not using it very much, as the 3 stamina gain usually didn't warrant the round of being asleep and defenseless. +5 though is much more vi
Very small one this time, designed to make the game a TAD easier for players. Players will now gain: Attack +1 at level 4 Physical Defense +1 at levels 7 & 10 This goes for every class. These new character bonuses coincide with when you receive your Autokill abilities. Well i
Hello I haven't been able to work on games in general the past couple months so this took longer than I expected. Not a ton of things this time but some important stuff. Additions Now when you have a full set equipped (and the purple flashing under the items is going on) selectin
It's the June 21st update! This introduces some balance tweaks and a pretty substantial new equipment mechanic. Please excuse the CAPS LOCK, I was jotting down my notes while I was making this stuff and had the caps lock on. 'Tis a simple copy / paste from that text file: ADDITIO
Hey guys! This is sort of a small surprise update however I think it's a good one. ADDITIONS More map variety for the Temple area (again, can you ever have enough really?) The Graveyard Folder of Equin 1 fame makes a triumphant return! You can access it through the main menu, and
Good afternoon! Today is a small yet important patch that increases the level variety to the Temple Area as well as increases stability for your character's starting point upon level generation (ie. getting stuck inside a wall is a no-no). Additionally, to help make smashing vase
Hello all, Had to push this one through as a player had a character spawn inside a wall and another had an exit ladder spawn in a spot that was unreachable. Obviously, as unlikely as this might be to happen it for sure had to be addressed immediately. The exit ladder one I think
Since release, the game has seen many improvements through various small content updates. This one shall rule them all. I've been hard at work on this every day for a few weeks, and I feel the time is right. There are many things to address, so when possible I'll post some screen
Most likely the last update of the year, Happy Holidays and everybody try not to go broke this go 'round! Additions There are now four unique food items in the game. They are all plastic and inedible. Simply hold onto them in your pack (i.e. like a charm in Diablo 2) you will gai
I appear to be on a roll.. ADDITIONS New event: Streakyama! This is a special event where you can opt to pray to this stone idol god thing and it'll randomly change the power you get from having a full hit streak meter (which is normally +50% XP). This is of course totally option
Good evening! I saw a screenshot this morning that reported a possible bug where the exit ladder wasn't showing up in the forest area and could've been replaced by a fire tile. I took a look and sure enough my code was missing a check where - though unlikely for sure - a firestor
Well, a little sooner than I anticipated but some good stuff regardless: Additions HP and STM regen effects now work in battle! Each round that passes will give you +1 to either HP or STM, and is factored in before poison or a curse's stamina drain. This is very very helpful and
Well this took me a lot longer than I thought it would, but overall some pretty good tweaks and a very important upgrade preview window that will be nice for everyone with Upgrade Dusts burning a hole in their backpacks. Additions It took a LONG ASS time but now there's a little
Always being one of my word, today I present to players of Equin 2 a small content update. I will also say that I have been working on something for the game that is actually turning out to be pretty major and will take kind of a while to finish. But in Del_Duio terms, "kind of a
So this morning I watched a great "Let's Try" of Equin 2 from Retromation on YouTube and saw some things I could definitely improve upon. And as Confucius used to say "He who improves upon roguelike is A-OK in my book". I can't argue with that. The first Equin had a tremendous am
Oh how I hate the day 1 patch, small as it may be. BUILD 11/19/21 ============ * Fixed type-o in story, oh man.. It's PROMPTLY. There's an "L"! * Invisibility Ring no longer has a the minor HP boost, it's "just" invis + huge evasion %. Consequently this is most likely the best ra
The time is now! After a pretty arduous year and a half plus it's just about that time. Equin 2: The Warren Peace, the sequel to DXF Games' best seller Equin: The Lantern will finally be here this Friday, November 19th! When an evil wizard writes the longest and most boring book
