The current Weekly will restart once with this update.
Achievements & Cards
Mereena's Regent's Resolve and Nature's Saint achievements now unlock correctly.
Their card backs now unlock alongside the achievements.
Card backs shown as unlocked before being earned will lock again until their requirements are completed.
Mereena's four battle-Accolade card backs now appear in the collection.
Mana Diffuser+ now adds the copied spell to your hand instead of your deck.
Puzzle Balance
Made Discard and Glimmer tutorial puzzles slightly easier, with fewer cards in hand not involved in the solution.

Ahoy Blitzers!
Some great news washing ashore this morning, and we’re beyond excited to tell you that Cross Blitz is officially sailing out of Early Access and into 1.0 on November 24th 2025! Starting on October 24th, Cross Blitz will cost $22.99 on Steam as we batten down the hatches and prepare for the November voyage to 1.0.
Since we first weighed anchor on the Early Access back in 2023, Cross Blitz has brought on board a hearty crew of characters, and called into various ports to restock on cards and challenges. But there’s more to come yet, so cast your eyes on today’s freshly-caught trailer and dive into the adventures which await with our November 1.0 launch.
In Cross Blitz, heart-felt adventure meets fierce, strategic turn-based battles. Joining a memorable crew of five heroes, Blitzers will guide them through tense conflict and bountiful treasure hunting, weaving highs and lows into your lengthy voyages in the Fables story mode.
Ally with Seto, a small but powerful martial artist, on a journey to find his master. Or join Quill to aid in high-stakes heists and support him as he fights to provide for his impoverished family and bring justice to the common folk. In addition, keep your eyes peeled and set your spyglass to the horizon, as a new crew member - Mereena - will be joining the fray very soon!
Mereena joins fierce pirate Redcroft and the charming popstar Violet in 1.0, adding even more variety to our swelling crew. Players will join Mereena to discover more about this insightful and caring Sprout Elf, and help her to deliver peace and tranquility for all those on Crossdawn Isle. She may be the future ruler of Sproutsvale, but players will need to guide Mereena as she discovers the world outside her sheltered upbringing.
During each hero’s adventure you’ll explore a variety of unique locations, and meet an array of colourful characters - all while unlocking a boat-load of new cards, abilities and relics. Blitzers will need to deploy from a treasure trove of strategic tools to craft the perfect deck to suit the way you like to [strike]sail[/strike] play!
Test your strategy in the Tusk Tales roguelite mode, charting your own course through the peculiar regions of the Cross Blitz world. On this journey, no two voyages will ever be the same, requiring Blitzers to adapt to overcome and survive. Purchase powerful trinkets to boost your curated deck, rally a crew of trusty mercenaries and face off against foes that grow fiercer with every battle.
Blitzers who joined our crew previously may already know, but for the as-yet landlubbers among us, here’s what you can find on a Cross Blitz voyage!
Deep Deckbuilding Strategy: [strike]Swab[/strike] Build unstoppable decks with more than 500 cards, customising and perfecting strategies to meet different playstyles across five factions.
Thrilling Adventure: Sail through 60+ hours of adventures across five different stories as our heroes overcome a variety of trials and tribulations in the Fables story mode.
Endlessly Replayable Challenge: Brave constantly-changing seas on the roguelite Tusk Tales mode to unlock 20 new mercenaries. Face off on four randomised maps packed with unique battles and 12 different bosses to test your tactical prowess.
An Enthralling World: Packed to the crow’s nest with colourful characters, intriguing locations and delightful secrets, making Cross Blitz an exceptional title for those looking for adventure and exploration.
We’re looking forward to setting sail alongside our incredible community, as we launch into 1.0 on November 24th. Get ready to hornswoggle your enemies and hang ‘em from the yard arm.
Prepare for adventure, Blitzers. The time to cast off is coming soon!

Ahoy Blitzers,
We have a quick but important update to share with you today.
As many of you know, our previous roadmap placed the 1.0 release of Cross Blitz in Q3. After reviewing development progress and timelines, we will share a precise release date very soon!
This wasn’t an easy call, but it’s the right one to ensure Cross Blitz launches with the level of polish, balance, and content you deserve.
What does this mean?
Nothing drastic is changing in terms of features or goals. The game is shaping up well, we simply need a bit more time to wrap everything up properly. Rather than rush the final stretch, we’re taking the safe route to give you the experience we’ve always aimed for.
We’re still hard at work on:
Mereena Campaign
Game-wide balance improvements
QA/testing passes
Thank you, truly, for your support and understanding. We're incredibly excited to cross the finish line with you very soon!
See you around, Blitzers!⛵

Ahoy, Blitzers! ✨
We’re excited to share that the beta changes are now live on the main branch! Thanks to all the feedback from our beta players, we’ve fine-tuned these new systems and can’t wait for everyone to experience them.
Changes
New Battle Reward System: Card Buckets
Battle rewards in Tusk Tales now offer themed card buckets!
After each battle, you’ll choose one bucket and receive 1 to 3 cards from it.
Buckets are strategically named to help you identify synergies and archetypes at a glance.
You can remove cards from the bucket you choose, but you can’t pick from multiple ones.
The goal: more synergy, fewer “junk picks,” and a much smoother deckbuilding experience.
Worthy Deadly Battles & Mid-Bosses
These tougher fights will also reward buckets, BUT, with a twist: some cards will come with attached Trinkets, making them significantly stronger and more tempting to add to your deck.
Routing through danger now comes with real upside and more interesting decision-making.
Skippable Taverns
You asked, we delivered: Taverns can now be skipped entirely!
To balance this out and encourage more focused builds:
If you're traveling with a sub-mercenary, you’ll earn bonus Gold and Husks (on victory).
We want to encourage archetype-based builds without locking out mix-and-match options.
Let us know how this feels and if single-archetype runs feel more viable and rewarding!
Shop Overhaul & Treasure Cards
Shops now offer more than card removal! When you visit them, you may discover powerful new Treasure Cards which include:
Mismancer Jinn: Flying Your Battlecry & Deathrattle effects trigger twice.
Frigidara: Frost, Draconic & Pyro Damage +2.
Retch: Battlecry: Redeem a minion from your deck. It gains a random Trinket for the rest of the run.
(...and many more!)
Rerolls
After clearing Ruinous Reef, you'll unlock Rerolls!
You’ll start each run with 3 rerolls
Use them at Battle Rewards, Taverns, or Shops when something doesn’t quite fit
Great for chasing synergy or dodging duds
Seal System
Tired of seeing certain relics or trinkets in every run? After you’ve unlocked a certain number of relics and/or trinkets, you’ll be able to use the new Seal System in the Compendium to block specific items from showing up again.
Perfect for tailoring your runs!
Ideal for removing items that don’t support your strategy (looking at you, Death Dice)
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused minions with Barrier to not break when summoned on a Scorch tile.
Fixed a bug that allowed the player to open the level tree menu when starting a cutscene.
Fixed a bug that caused Magma Trident to only play its attack animation once per game.
Fixed a bug that caused tooltips to linger forever in some rare cases.
Fixed a bug that caused Aura Screen effects to stay on screen after the aura was removed.
Fixed a bug that caused decks to not save after just creating one in Fables.
Fixed a bug that caused Pluckbot to remain inactive on board if he stole a trap.
Fixed a bug that caused Overkill Accolades to not trigger.
Fixed a bug that caused Shadow Groupies hover card to stay up when hovered.
Added a custom effect to Scorching Whirlwind.
Updated Localization for the new bucket system.
Fixed a bug that caused infinite loading in some rare cases when starting Tusk Tales runs.
Fixed a bug that caused soft locks and crashes in rare cases during Tusk Tales runs.
Fixed an issue where the location background layer would open before the location portrait was loaded.
Fixed a bug that allowed locked tavern recruits to be added to your tavern party.
Fixed a bug that caused right-click to not register over a relic in the Fable collection menu.
Fixed a bug that caused the Dual Strike icon to stay on minions that changed sides, when they had the dual strike aura from Dual Blades.
Fixed a bug that caused Big Bomb to be on a separate page in the Fables collection.
Fixed a bug that caused the "START" button to skip mode selection and force entry into Tusk Tales only.

A brand-new Cross Blitz update is here, and with it, the arrival of 5 new fierce Mercenaries to shake up your strategies!
To celebrate, we’re kicking off a Mercenary Contest alongside the update’s release, and we want you to show us what these new recruits can really do.
The Mercenary Contest Starts NOW!🏆
Think you've got what it takes to pull off a killer combo?
Show us your skills with one of the new Mercenaries by capturing a short gameplay highlight (max 10 seconds), a clutch moment, a satisfying synergy, or just some clean tactical wizardry!
How to participate:
Play with any of the 5 new Mercenaries introduced in the latest update:
Professor Gearhart (Fortune - Traps)
Sawnose Sid (Balance - Devour)
Bang (War - Bombs)
Abraxas (Chaos - Discard/Dragons)
Kor (Nature - Archer)
Record a short, snappy clip (max 10s) showing off your best play.
Share your clip on X (Twitter), Bluesky, Threads, or Reddit (r/CrossBlitz_).
Tag us at @/TheArcadeCrew on X and Threads, @thearcadecrew.bsky.social on Bluesky, and use the hashtag #CrossBlitzMercs!
Please note that we will only consider one entry per contestant, no matter how many videos they submit.
Prizes:
We’ll crown 5 winners, one for each new mercenary, and each winner will receive:
A $25 Steam Gift Card
1 Steam key for one of our The Arcade Crew games
But that’s not all! Selected highlights will be featured in a montage on our official YouTube channel as a mini-trailer for the update!
The contest starts now, and you have until July 13th to submit your video. The winners will be announced around mid-July.
🎥 Recording Guidelines (Tech Specs):
To ensure your clip can be included in the final video:
Post your clip in the native resolution of the platform you’re using (no stress about hitting specific requirements for your post!).
If you’re selected as a winner, we’ll contact you to ask for your original, highest quality version of the clip (ideally 1920x1080 minimum, 60 FPS, .mp4 or .mov format).
Make sure to disable music, microphones, and background apps so we can clearly hear the game audio.
Keep audio levels consistent across clips.
Good luck, Blitzers! We can’t wait to see your tactical skills in action!
