Thanks to your reports, we realized that some of you were having trouble launching the game or experiencing crashes during matches.
We want everyone to have a smooth experience, so we have added a DirectX 11 mode to the launch options. Switching to this mode should resolve these common crashes.
Steps to fix the crash:
Click Play on PROPHUNT in your library.
Select the Launch with DirectX 11 (Fixes crashes) option in the pop-up window.
Enjoy the game!

Added Server Browser hints to help find players or start solo games.
Added very limited Controller Support (Alpha version).
Time to Hide is now set to 30 seconds by default.
Fixed alive AI Props persisting between games.
Fixed capsule collision that blocked Hunters after a Prop transformed.
Fixed Prop mesh collision blocking bullets even when invisible.
Fixed Claymores not being removed between rounds.
Fixed a movement bug when jumping and shooting immediately after running.

The v0.6 Update is finally here! We are thrilled to finally unveil a whole new era for PROPHUNT.
We want to be clear: Everything has been rebuilt. From the gameplay and UI to optimization and graphics. We have started fresh on a solid foundation to make PROPHUNT the great game it deserves to be. This is not just a patch; it is a rebirth.
Here is what you can expect in this massive update:
COMPLETE COMBAT & MOVEMENT OVERHAUL
The way the game feels has been completely transformed. Both Hunters and Props have had their movement, animations, and weapons reworked from scratch.
Hunter Evolution: Now featuring a First-Person View! We’ve added a brand new arsenal including an Assault Rifle (AK-type), Shotgun, Semi-auto Handgun, Frag Grenades, Claymores, and Melee combat.
Prop Evolution: Props can now transform and de-transform (return to robot form) at will. In robotic form, you can now attack in close combat—perfect for finishing off a low-health Hunter.
Stealth Mechanics: Added a "Walk" feature for both teams to move slowly but silently.
Stamina System: Running and jumping now consume stamina for Props. This balances the gameplay, no more running indefinitely!
SINGLEPLAYER & AI PROPS
One of the pillars of this new era!
AI Bots: The host can now fill empty player slots with AI Props.
Solo Mode: Thanks to the AI, you can now practice or play alone (Hunter AI is coming in a future update).
TECH, VISUALS & OPTIMIZATION
We have modernized the entire technical backbone of the game.
Crossplay: PC Players on Steam and Epic can now play together!
Party Code System: Each game generates a unique code. Share it to join friends instantly without needing Steam/Epic contact lists, essential for Crossplay.
NVIDIA Integration: We’ve introduced DLSS, DLAA, and Multi-Frame Generation for buttery smooth performance.
New Visuals: We said goodbye to the old robot soldiers. The Kovatek Corporation now employs human agents: meet "Kova".
UI Overhaul: It was high time to end the austere menus of the past. Enjoy a beautiful, modern new interface.
NEW MAPS & REWORKS
NEW MAP - Rooftop: Battle on the rooftops of an abandoned New York City. This is the first map to introduce the void concept—watch your step, or you will fall to your death!
REWORK - Warehouse: The game’s very first map has been significantly improved and modified, featuring new layouts and added vegetation.
This is just the beginning. These enhancements mark the start of a new chapter for PROPHUNT. We have built the foundation for greatness, and we have regular updates planned for the coming months with plenty of new features.

Get Ready! The v0.6 PROPHUNT Update is Coming This November!
First, we want to thank you all for your incredible patience. We were pushing hard to get this update out for the game's anniversary, but unfortunately, our day jobs (yes, it's sad 😢) got in the way and we couldn't make that deadline. But the wait is almost over! We are incredib
First, we want to thank you all for your incredible patience. We were pushing hard to get this update out for the game's anniversary, but unfortunately, our day jobs (yes, it's sad 😢) got in the way and we couldn't make that deadline.
But the wait is almost over! We are incredibly excited to announce that we are officially targeting a November release for the massive v0.6 PROPHUNT update.
We're calling this a "whole new era" for the game, and for good reason. We've been reworking the game's core, and we can't wait for you to play it. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:
A Complete Overhaul of Movement and Combat
We've completely reworked the systems for both the Hunter and the Prop from the ground up, including movement, animations, and weapons.
For the Hunter: Get ready for a new first-person view! This comes with an all-new tactical arsenal: an AK-47-type weapon, a shotgun, a semi-automatic handgun, a frag grenade, and a claymore. Melee combat is also in!
For the Prop: You can now transform and detransform (return to your robot form) at will! In your robotic form, you can attack in close combat, which can be very effective against a low-health Hunter.
For Everyone: We've added a "walk" function for both sides, allowing you to move more slowly but completely silently.
New Visuals & Hunter Customization
New Hunter Agents: Once a valiant robot soldier, Kovatek Corporation now employs new human agents for its Hunters.
Skill System: Going hand-in-hand with the new visuals is the introduction of Skills. You can select these to customize your Hunter's play style.
First Skill Available: “Resilience,” which allows you to take less damage for a short period of time. (Other skills will be coming soon, allowing you to create customizable classes!)
AI Props & Singleplayer Mode
This is one of the pillars of this new update. The host of a game can now fill in the empty Props player slots with AIs. This is perfect for filling up a lobby or even playing solo as a Hunter. (Hunter AIs will be available later.)
New Map "Rooftop" & "Warehouse" Rework
New Map: Rooftop: A brand new map set on the rooftops of an abandoned American city. It is also the first map to introduce the concept of the void, where both Props and Hunters can fall to their deaths.
Map Rework: Warehouse: The game’s very first map, Warehouse, has also been significantly modified and improved, notably with the addition of new props and vegetation.
New Tech & Features
NVIDIA Technology: We're excited to introduce support for NVIDIA DLSS, DLAA, and Multi Frame Generation to boost your performance and visual quality.
PC Crossplay: That's right! Steam and Epic Games players can now play together!
New Main Menu: It was high time to put an end to the old, austere menus. The new main menu is finally here and looks beautiful.
We're in the final stages of polishing and bug-squashing. We are so excited to get this update into your hands.

Soundboard for props to taunt hunters ("BETA" feature)
Double jump for props with sound played on second jump ("BETA" feature not enabled by default)
Advanced fireworks color customization
Option to customize the color of each team in the settings

Rework of the "Warehouse" map
Anti-AFK for props has been released from its "BETA" phase and is now enabled by default. Launching a taunt will now stop anti-AFK, and other bugs have been fixed
All user interfaces have been redesigned, including new features, optimizations and numerous text and bug fixes
The font has been changed to allow translations to be implemented in future updates.
Lighting and shadows have been made fully dynamic using LUMEN technology
The fireworks particle has been reworked to make it more visible and customizable
Custom key assignment has been temporarily deactivated to make way for a "QWERTY" or "AZERTY" configuration
The damage taken by hunters when touching a false prop is now 2 instead of 4
Chat now remains invisible even when activated if no message is sent during the game
Project migration from Unreal Engine 4.27 to Unreal Engine 5.2 including performance improvements, bug fixes and stability enhancements
The in-game "News" button now leads to PROPHUNT's Steam news hub

A problem prevented props from replaying a taunt after the first one
Taunt points were sometimes attributed to the game host
A problem sometimes prevented hunters from spawning on the map
A problem sometimes prevented team swapping between rounds.
Code optimization including network optimization and improved stability

Many problems with 3D models have been fixed

The "Police Station" map has been removed as it didn't work well with in-game features

Hello everyone, we're going to show you all the features that are coming to PROPHUNT. First of all, we are migrating the project to Unreal Engine 5 the brand new game engine from Epic Games more powerful than ever. This migration includes significant performance boosts as well as
Hello everyone, we're going to show you all the features that are coming to PROPHUNT.
First of all, we are migrating the project to Unreal Engine 5 the brand new game engine from Epic Games more powerful than ever. This migration includes significant performance boosts as well as a dramatic improvement to the game's lighting system that simulates lights in real time! The improved lighting system will allow us to integrate night mode game maps for more strategy and in-game possibilities.
A brand new map will appear in the map pool: the "Castle" map. We will show you more about it later.
In addition, many gameplay mechanics have evolved but will also be added:

the anti AFK for props comes out of its BETA phase and will now be activated by default on all games.
the props are getting two new gameplay mechanics that are the dynamic noises in game controlled by a customizable soundboard and a double jump (option available during the game setup).
We have also made a facelift of the user interfaces by making them more modern and cleaner. They are now fully optimized, stable and a new font is used to make it easier for us to translate the game into other languages later. Not to mention the code and networking which we have significantly optimized to avoid in-game slowdowns and server saturation.
Finally, we have fixed many recurring bugs that are harmful to the game experience:

fixed an issue that prevented clients from playing a firework again
fixed an issue where an assigned key was deleted and could not be reassigned
added checks when assigning a new key to prevent setting problems
fixed an issue that prevented hunters from spawn in some circumstances
fixed a problem that prevented the swap of teams to be done correctly
And much more very soon to be seen in PROPHUNT!
