Hi all, recently our development team spoke about the current quality of Chrome Switcher after receiving feedback from several players. We determined that the current state of Chrome Switcher is something we aren't too happy with, so we decided to plan an Overhaul Initiative for Chrome Switcher in order to greatly increase the quality of the game.
The planning process went from listing out our current hurdles and issues to creating a new Level Design Document replacing our old one. The goal for this new level design document is to direct the vision we have for Chrome Switcher into something much less linear and install a small story or plot to the game.
Here's what you can expect from Chrome Switcher with this new level design document:
Enclosed levels with an almost Portal-like feel
A subtle change in atmosphere, we're keeping the retro/synthwave theme and adding in some "inspirational/soothing" vibes
More puzzle-like levels, with different routes to complete different levels
Overall I feel like our players will love this new initiative. That was just about Level Design, we have plans for the mechanical design and overall game design for Chrome Switcher as well:
A "guide" character to help teach new mechanics to the player early on
Overall make the parkour mechanics easier to understand
We're pretty happy with what's in store for Chrome Switcher, expect some major changes coming this month!

Hi all,
After reviewing several levels and testing out the mechanics of Chrome Switcher more, we adjusted the parkour system for wall jumping. We also noticed several players were having issues with the swing bar, we removed the swing bar for Level 2 and replaced the entire level with two longwall runs inspired by a scene from Titanfall 2.
Important Changes:
Redesigned Levels 1 and 2
Adjusted parkour mechanics (specifically wall running collisions and swinging)
Thanks for playing the game! We plan on releasing a different, up-to-date trailer of Chrome Switcher fairly soon and we'll have a Discord later next week too.

Hi all,
First, thank you for reading this special announcement. As this is our first game released on Steam, we are very happy with the progress we've made thus far. We would also like to introduce the team behind Chrome Switcher, then explain what you can expect in the full version of the game and updates after the full release. You can consider this a roadmap, but as chaotic the world is, please keep in mind that these plans are subject to change.
The Team:
Project Manager: Thomas O'Brien. I am a college student who has a passion for game development.
Level Designer: JNH. JNH is our level designer, he designs a lot of the levels you see in Chrome Switcher.
Full Release Plans: In the full release of Chrome Switcher, here's what you can expect:
20 Additional Levels (30 in total)
A speed-runner timer for each level
Quality of Life improvements.
Settings Menu
A possible multiplayer Versus mode (might be separate update)
All of the updates below...
Planned Updates
Multiplayer Modes.
A co-op 3 person mode.
A versus 1v1 mode.
As of now, we plan on releasing Chrome Switcher for $4.99. In order for us to feel confident we are able to release the game at that price, we will have periodic updates mentioned above and gather lots of feedback from the community.
