In this spin-off in the Beholder series, you step into the role of a senior conductor on the legendary Determination Bringer train, tasked with monitoring passengers, enforcing strict regulations, and completing high-stakes Ministry assignments that could determine their future.

The train is preparing for a long and thrilling journey across the country.
Your responsibilities include readying the compartments, welcoming the passengers, and enforcing order throughout the route. You will meet people from all corners of the nation. Hear their stories. And decide — who deserves to ride on, and who will be removed from the train.
As your loyalty to the Ministry deepens, you will unlock access to secret missions that offer rewards and opportunities for promotion. But beware – the journey is filled with risks, including encounters with smugglers, bribery, and corruption. Your choices will shape the lives of passengers — and the course of history, leading to multiple endings.
Please review and comply with the Ministry’s directives:

Monitor all passengers
Report their actions and file misconduct notices
Conduct baggage searches (preferably unnoticed)
Rise through the ranks… or come under investigation

The Beholder: Conductor playtest has finally launched, and now it’s your turn to take the conductor’s seat. Monitor passengers, report incidents, and carry out vital Ministry directives aboard the legendary Determination Bringer. Your choices matter, and they’ll shape the destiny of this journey!
HOW TO JOIN THE PLAYTEST:

Visit the Beholder: Conductor Steam page.
Click “Request Access” to join the playtest.
Play the game and make sure no one is smuggling anything forbidden aboard the Determination Bringer.
Share your feedback and report it via the in-game survey.
Please note that this is an early version of the game, so you may encounter bugs or unexpected issues. Your feedback is critical in helping us refine the gameplay experience and ensure every choice you make feels impactful.

List of changes:

Added the sound of a trumpet playing in a certain scenario with Frank's son.
Changed the spot for a dialogue with the policeman in the “Kim's hideout” quest. Now, instead of sometimes happening inside the apartment, it always takes place by the staircase.
Changed the behavior of Thomas Noller, the ministry employee. He now brings money to the correct place if the player blackmails him from a computer in Frank's apartment.
Fixed an issue with the “Camp Grenada” achievement. The game now counts the correct flag on the right flagpole in the “Show your true colors” quest even if the flag on the left flagpole is raised too.
Fixed an issue with disappearing quest steps in the “The Reform” quest.
Fixed an issue with notifications about the quest completion popping up multiple times.
Fixed an issue with Gerhardt Günzel behavior if his wife Maria was no longer in the apartment.

Hello, citizens! Have you missed us? We are back to introduce a grand new update to you.
First things first: we added two new launch options for gaming preferences based on your hardware. Now players can choose between:

Default Beholder 3 launch option (using Unity’s Universal Render Pipeline) designed for low and mid performance machines – it ensures smooth gameplay and optimal performance on hardware with lower capabilities.
Beholder 3 using High Definition Render Pipeline for high-performance machines and more demanding hardware, providing a better picture quality.
List of changes (may contain spoilers):

Added French language support.
Added Turkish language support.
Added several missing hints to gamepad controls.
Added several missing quest steps.
Added the possibility to scroll through graphic settings with a gamepad.
Added an alternative way to complete the “Tit for tat” quest. You can set a camera in Gunther Beislaus’ office and get a recording with a confession faster.
Added a game over condition if the player doesn’t complete the “Missing daughter” quest.
Made graphical changes to make the game details easier to see on the Steam Deck screen.
Made the music more dramatic if the player chooses not to pay Magnus Hermann.
Made the “Voyeur” achievement easier to obtain.
Made the “State-of-the-art” achievement be obtainable earlier in the story.
Made the "Forbidden Love" quest getting completed with any player's actions.
Changed the gamepad control assignments to make it more convenient for Steam Deck users.
Changed Albert Bühlow’s schedule to make sneaking into his apartment at night possible.
Changed Karsten Singer’s behavior to work in his office more often instead of chilling next to the underground entrance.
Changed Nora Helm’s behavior to no longer ask money for her services if Frank gave her medicine for free or for a small amount.
Fixed an issue with an incorrect amount of money debited after making a deal with Magnus Hermann.
Fixed an issue with Frank getting stuck in an apartment’s doorway during an NPC’s arrest.
Fixed an issue with Frank clipping through the refrigerator in Frederica Feinbein’s apartment.
Fixed an issue with Frank not being able to deliver mail to ministry employee after his arrest. The letter intended for that NPC will be automatically removed from the player's inventory, and new letters will be generated in the mailbox on the 1st floor.
Fixed an issue with the mailbox newspapers when using the right stick of the controller.
Fixed an issue with the player being able to give Frank a command during the pause.
Fixed an issue with the player not being able to fire Karsten Singer after gaining enough authority in the ministry.
Fixed an issue with NPCs playing walking animation without moving.
Fixed the camera behavior when the player started peeking through the keyhole repeatedly.
Fixed the display of some textures for minimum graphics preset.
Fixed several dialogue lines.
Removed several unnecessary quest steps.
Removed the possibility of blackmailing Sibyl Fels after finishing a quest with Kim’s personal file.
Removed the possibility of talking to a police officer near Kim’s hiding apartment after lying to him.
Removed the possibility to buy some quest items after completing the quests if they were used as evidence.
❗️ We recommend to start a new game because some of the fixed bugs may continue to reproduce in old saves. Glory to the Great Leader!

Added many graphic customization options
Added VSync support
Added a new animation for Annemarie Pinkert of calling her daughter
Added a new animation for Tina Günzel of playing the violin from time to time
Removed Bruno Zweig from the final dialogue with Stephen Huberts
Fixed an issue with Emma Grundig just talking about the concert, the dialogue options are visible after that dialogue again
Fixed an issue where you could give several cameras to Wolf Henker during the "Sound of Progress" quest, the dialogue about the camera will be played only once
When the "Youthful Exuberance" quest fails while Wolf and Ulrike are standing outside, they return to their flat
When reporting Ernst Müller, his "angry" dialogue won't play forever anymore, you can talk to him after that conversation again
Ida Weckert now does other activities instead of playing the violin
Other minor fixes

Fixed an issue where subtitles would overlap in the intro
Fixed an issue where dialogues with the guard are triggered after loading
Fixed an issue where dialogue options with the police enforcer showed $nil instead of the right value
Fixed an issue where receiving a call from Lotte after a certain story event was possible, breaking subsequent dialogues
Fixed an issue where popups would display the wrong quest step when the quest is hidden
Frank now plays a sitting animation whenever filing a report or profile in Frank's office
Frank now plays an animation when scanning a keycard at the scanner in the ministry for the first time
NPCs that have been released from arrest will now respawn at the metro exit in their respective location
