Mosquitos no longer vampire to prevent the dreaded fatal vampire game crash
There has been a surge of crashes in the game recently. I believe they have to do with the new features of vampire, which also occurs during the chi attack, and so vampire has been removed from the game for now. This bug is elusive... it only occurs during release builds. That's

How's the upgrade stats progress going? It's going, but never as fast as I want it to. This week saw all of Balls done. Aero just needed Faster Acceleration and that was done. Started on Special Shots and ended up completing and overhauling vampire. What's left are: the rest of s
Every once in a while I like to try crazy experiments and change up the gameplay a lot. This time, I took away air drag for shots. I had previously thought the slight exponential change in speed for shots was cool and more natural, but I think this linear, constant speed is bette
Hey all! I'm back from my two week vacation/staycation where I could get a bunch of things done so I could work on this game more! I'm still doing some of those things, but I'm back to pushing out weekly updates. What's new? This update is mostly about continuing the process of g
Don't upgrade if you want maximum performance at the risk of crashing. Instance pooling turned off I think instance pooling, a technique for optimizing framerate when there's a TON of shots on the screen, was slightly instable, and causing weird behavior and crashes sometimes. I

Control your Destiny! Er, what? Use those rerolls! Oh! You mean when I'm offered doors or upgrades, I can opt to have new ones offered? Yes Ok thank you. I should be able to Control your Destiny! Yes... 6 rerolls per game are in. Use them on doors or upgrades 1 additional choice
"Ahhh motherland!" This week was focused on getting more upgrade stats done, and I got sidetracked with more optimizations. Good thing though, I think there were some interesting ones made that I hadn't thought of before. Getting closer to fully optimized. Someone want to test me
Yoooo Another week, another mid-week update. (doh!) Fix There were some crashes happening due to all the sprites I deleted in the last update. This should be fixed now. Optimize I included some optimizations I have been working on. Something called "instance pooling", so certain
This week Dualism was in the Game Development World Championship, and so I took some time this week to attempt to market the game. It worked, a little. But unfortunately this update isn't as filled to the brim as it usually is. (by the way, go vote if you haven't: GDWC ) What are
I realized I left the first option of the doors locked to spikes, balls, and screw attack from when I was testing something. Unlocked so the first option is random again. Sorry!
What, another update a couple days after your Friday update? Yeah! There were a few more things I wanted to button up for this week. Several of these were mentioned by other players, so I knew it was important. Tutorial overhauled again The tutorial is actually starting to get wh
Heyo! Vote for best indie game of all time - ever Dualism is honored to be a part of the GDWC vote next week! Check it out and vote for your favorite game, starting Monday! Upgrade Stats - Part 2! (of 3 or 4) Included this week are the stats rewrite and visibility for the upgrade
Fixed a game-breakingly powerful upgrade Hope you liked the last version of the game. It was very short lived. You could increase you shot damage from, say, 1,067 to 32,274 with just one "More shot damage" upgrade. Well that's no more. Fixed tutorial Also, the tutorial was fatall
Finally! Some of the mystery of the upgrades is revealed! When you're upgrading, you'll see a lot of new information. It's part of a multi-week effort to rewrite upgrades so you know what they do, they're more consistent and balanced, mathematical, and we can do de-upgrades (late
By overwhelming popular demand and extreme force, I put in the long hours and painful sacrifice to implement steam screenshots. Just kidding. There was one guy who was like, "Hey, can you put in screenshots? I was surprised there was nothing in there and I want to put some stuff
