Requested missions available while negative reputation:
1. (High probability) Pay tribute. A high gold price, restoring your reputation by a certain amount.
2. (Low probability) Ransom from the enemy boss. An unusually difficult random map mission spawns nearby, with a captured villager. At the start of the mission you can pay if you have the money and win automatically, otherwise you can just fight. If the villager dies or the mission times out you fail the mission.
Always available while negative reputation
3. Siege (Army): Attempt to destroy the enemy city. Drops reputation greatly. City will respawn with a new ruler at slightly negative status after some time if you win.
Requested missions available while positive reputation:
4. (Common) Recruit units for me. You have some days to train/recruit X of some particular unit you have already unlocked, where X is the cost of the units in resources plus some profit.
5. (Common) I will pay for large quantity X of stone
6. (Common) Defeat enemy patrols: Defeat all within some timeframe. Causes target reputation loss.
7. (Common) Meet informant. Guards start neutral. A villager is in a downloaded city at a random spot. Breaking or killing anything turns everyone hostile. Talking to this villager also turns all guards hostile. After talking to the villager, escape. Killing guards furthers reputation loss.
8. (Common) Insult. Text mission only. Walk to another city and insult their leader. Player can pick from various insults. Causes reputation loss with that city, but gain with the source city.
9. (Common) Show of force. Same as walk around, but killing enemy units gains reputation for the source city, with more reputation loss/gain for the target and source city respectively for more units killed.
Coming next week
10. (Rare) Magic contest: Shoot targets rapidly to get to the next round.
11. (Rare) Archery contest: Bet on how far you can get in the contest. You can't move from your starting spot and start with a cracked bow only. Shoot various targets. Success makes new peasants spawn farther away. You only have a limited number of arrows.
12. (Rare) Arena battle: 10 waves of increasingly difficult battles. Enemies keep spawning until you are knocked out. You can place a bet on how far you can get.
Extra mission available while max reputation
13. Court princess: Player can give all gems currently in inventory to the ruler's daughter. Once you reach a certain gold value of gems she agrees to marry you. Shows 1 of 3 custom illustrations. You can marry all 3 daughters, but can only marry each daughter once. Destroying this city resets the love resource, but does not unmarry you if married already.
Positive reputation benefit
City internally keeps track of a gold value of free units to be provided to the player. Each city has an archetype – melee, ranged, or magic that scales with campaign time. Being married doubles the rate of gold increase. Higher reputation also increases gold increase.
