We're thrilled to share more about the various mechanics of the upcoming Heroes feature that will redefine your strategic gameplay. Following our previous updates on unlocking, deploying and upgrading Heroes, let's delve deeper into how these legendary units will operate on the battlefield.
Key Mechanics of Heroes
- Stacking Limitations: To maintain balance and tactical diversity, only one Hero can be in a single army. This encourages thoughtful deployment and enhances the strategic complexity of your forces.
- Mobilisation Times: Each Hero will have distinct mobilisation times based on balancing requirements. This means that the time it takes for a Hero to become battle-ready will vary, adding a new layer of planning to your campaigns.
- Map Limit: In our initial release, you'll be able to deploy any number of the available Heroes that you have unlocked on a single map. We intend to add a limit to the number of Heroes deployable in one map at a later point, after release, as we continue to add more Heroes.
- Days of Availability: Heroes will be available to deploy on different days, so coordinating their placement with your broader strategy will be key to gaining the upper hand.
- Resurrection Cooldown: Although Heroes are powerful units, they are not invincible. If a Hero is lost in battle, we intend that they won’t be immediately available for redeployment. We’re planning to introduce a resurrection cooldown, which will require you to adapt and rethink your tactics. This feature may not be ready for the initial launch, but if not, it's a top priority for subsequent updates.
Looking Ahead
As we continue to refine and perfect the Heroes feature, we look forward to sharing more with you about these exciting new units. Keep an eye out on the forum and in our Official Discord to share your thoughts and learn more about upcoming updates. We’re excited to see how Heroes will transform your strategies and shape the battles to come. Get ready to harness their unique powers and lead your nation to glory!
Best of luck General,
Your Bytro Team
