Hello pawsome!
In the real-world, cats are pretty content with having a place to sleep, food to eat and keyboards to lie on. In the world of Catizens, your furry minions can sometimes be more demanding, but they do give back.
Even the regular cats, the ones without a profession, are still willing to work for the Cat Kingdom! In fact, they will chop down trees, mine stone and gold, as well as carry harvests back to the warehouse. With their help, you'll have the basic materials needed to construct most of the buildings you'll need to grow your settlement.

The beasts in a nearby forest can be fairly aggressive, so even finding food is dangerous. If you want your catizens well-fed, you're going to either need a well-armed knight to fight the wildlife off or a cat with a river cat to fish the waters.
All of your hard work will pay off as you'll later unlock farms, cookhouses and the chef profession to feed your Catizens the healthiest, most delicious meals and to keep them fighting-fit!
As your settlement grows, you're gonna have a surplus of certain resources, but a decline of others. This is where trading plays into Catizens. Merchants will visit your settlement and bring with them all manner of goods, most of which you'll need. And after some reasonable (or unreasonable) trades, they'll be on their way.
Eventually, you’ll be able to build large multi-story houses. These are a favorite for tree cats to live in, as they love to sleep high above the ground. You’ll also be able to build saunas and corrals, and can top it all off with decorative buildings, fulfilling the needs of every cat. It may not be easy, but it’ll definitely be fun!
Until next time,
Catizens Team
