After welcoming in a New Year we wanted to update the community on what has been happening behind the scenes. The last year has been challenging for many people and we are looking forward to a brighter 2022.
To kick off the New Year we are planning more regular and frequent events and the long overdue “Reinforced Update” in the first quarter.
We are keen to hear from the community on how they want us to release the update and we have created a (very) short survey to gather your opinions.

DEVELOPMENT NEWS
Behind the scenes we have been working on new features, fixing bugs and refining / balancing from community testing.
Amongst other changes we have rebalanced capture speeds when multiple players are in the capture zone and added a “last hope” capture speed bonus for the last attacking player, so working together when possible is rewarded but the last attacking player still has a hope of capturing an objective.
We have completed the implementation of a “Fog of War” mode without the third person spectator camera which is both loved and hated depending on your point of view to give server admins the choice.
By far the most commonly requested feature from the community is bots. Bots are now in development and will be making a future appearance in the pregame warm-up. Bots are not planned for the REINFORCED update but we look forward to adding them to the game in the future.
That’s all for this update. As always you can find us on our official discord at discord.gg/vanguardww2 where you can find other players and get notifications of upcoming events and news.
