Hello Christmas Lovers,
Since the release there is even more feedback. Based on this, this update is focusing on two things besides a few bug fixes.
Controls
The first is a redesign of the controls. At the moment the response when jumping is imprecise. This is now changed. No matter how fast you press double space there is always a second jump. However, this jump is not always the longest but it depends on a certain timing. To jump the furthest you have to do the second jump when Santa is at the highest point of the first jump. This mechanic is explained in the tutorial.
If you've gotten used to jumping before, nothing's gonna change for you. Only for beginners it is now easier to get along with the controls.
Extended Tutorial
The second improvement is an extension of the tutorial. In addition to the jump mechanics already mentioned, more elementary things are now explained in the game. So, for example, there is now a hint to the camera handling settings. With this setting it is possible to set a direct camera handling in the options which doesn't react as delayed as the default smooth camera handling.
With this update it is definitely recommended to play the tutorial again. You can now enter it in the start game menu.
With these changes it will be much easier to handle the game. If you have any questions, suggestions or criticism about the changes, please feel free to post your feedback in the forum.
