If you notice a ban message when trying to log in, that means you are the elephant, and you've been pushed out the door.
To address some of the pleads so far:
- just testing to see how it works is not a valid excuse
- no, it's not your joystick from 1998 that caused it
- no, you can't transfer your belongings to a new account
- you're not sorry for cheating, you're sorry that we caught you
We haven't publicly addressed the issue until confirming that our efforts are starting to be successful, but we've been hard at work to eradicate the players who are so bad at the game they need cheats. So far, we've banned a triple-digit number of cheaters and continue to improve the tools against them. We want you to know that we take this issue extremely seriously and will not stop until the game is free from cheats.
To speed up this process, please report all cheaters you encounter and include a video at http://feedback.lastoasis.gg/
We analyze every report to ban cheaters individually and develop counter measures, rendering their cheats useless and automatically reporting anyone trying to use them.
In addition to fighting players that use cheats, we'd like to announce that if we find a clan that has cheaters in their group, the clan will be wiped together with all of their belongings. This also extends to sibling clans - no, putting all your cheaters in a different clan won't help you. If your clan profits from having a cheater, even if it's just one player, the unfair advantage over the clans that play by the rules will be quickly equalized.
The efforts and resources that went into dealing with cheaters delayed some of our plans, but don't worry, as we have lots of cool and new content being made for the next big update. We're testing thoroughly first before a release and will announce the date once it's all ready.
Meanwhile, check out this little sneak peek of the new wingsuit (unless you're banned from the game, of course):
