More changes come to FAN'CIE VEER! in this update, designed to make this game easier to understand if you need to change ship colors before shooting to streaking through a Vektoroid and also encourage you to take more chances to get those crash combos!
THE BIGGEST CHANGE IN UPDATE 1.04:
By far the biggest and most important change I've made in this update is a huge increase in both ship maneuverability and gameplay mechanics to try and make this game more fun and exciting to play! Visual tweaks have been made as well, but I've always believed that gameplay is much more important than the cosmetic look of a game.
In the above image, yellow arrows point out that Steam high scores have now been added right into the game! You have the top 1,000 high scores (if there ever is that many) for both HIGH SCORES and for HIGHEST CRASH COMBO STREAKS achieved available to see right from the opening screen!
You'll also see that a master volume slider has been added on the right side of the screen to help you control your overall volume.
And a new menu music has been found that I think fits a game with a name like "FAN'CIE VEER!" very nicely as well!
As you can see by the above photo demonstration of the new ship design, changing your ship to the needed color to destroy both Vektoroids and Vektor fish is easier than ever now!
- Crashing your ship through Vektoroids has never been worth more points with this update! Give it a try to see how many points you can rack up!
- You can now bounce your shots off of fish and your bullets will change to the fishes color.. and then if that shot hits a Vektoroid of the opposite color of that fish, you'll score HUGE points (about 10x normal points)
- Remember that going along with the above, you can also bounce your shots off of Vektorids and hit Vektor fish and if your shot color and the Vektor fish color match, you'll score big points as well (about 8x normal points)
- Both of the above ricochet shots will now alert you on screen on your amazing successful shots!
- Fixed an issue that could cause you to respawn your ship off of the screen if you hit the space bar while your cursor was off of the game screen. This should no longer happen.
- Made various other small tweaks and alterations to help improve both the overall feel and game experience while playing FAN'CIE VEER.
With the new shot ricochet system, the mechanics of the shots will likely take a little time to tweak and iron out better, but I believe the game is already more engaging and fun with my recent two updates and I hope you enjoy all of the changes I've made as well! Enjoy! =)
