Another Tuesday, another Devlog! It’s time to meet the main field weapon for Geist Unit agents, the C95U.
After the war, an in-depth analysis of combat data was requested by the MoD. The idea was to start producing locally developed weapons and war material, since shortages and lack of supplies were key factors in many engagements against the better trained and armed NCE troops. Baltia had to be independent in many areas, including its military industry.
The analysis showed, among other things, the need for a specialized CQC submachine gun, with a high rate of fire and good stopping power. Cyber Industries was assigned to develop a suitable gun for the Baltian Armed Forces.
Based on the reliable C90 SMG in use by the American Empire, the C95U (Ultimate) is a Baltian specific production model coming from the C90 platform. Never disclosed to the public, the C95U contract was awarded to the Baltian National Armoured Institute. The U model includes a complete internal redesign of the original C90. This redesign allows the weapon to use the newly developed caseless 5.8×25mm ammunition, allowing the C95U to have a larger ammo capacity, while helping in lessening the weight load for the field agent.
