Hello!
The year 2019 is slowly but surely coming to an end, and we are heading towards 2020.
First of all: Many thanks for the year with you, for over 1.1 million tours with almost 800 million km (5.2 times earth-sun) and over 43 billion EUR income from driven tours (about the GDP of the Ivory Coast). We hope you had a lot of fun trucking!
Behind the scenes a lot has happened with us, on the one hand we have doubled the size of the support team, made a lot of thoughts about the further development and also implemented a lot: Adjustments to the telemetry and DirectX 11 finally updated by SCS, the weekly company statistics, Steam Achievements, general inspection as well as safety checks on trucks and much more.
Between the years we pausing our activities (as it is already tradition) for the winter holidays. From December 24th to January 1st there will be no speech support (Teamspeak/Discord). For urgent topics we ask you to use the text channel in Discord or the ticket system in the software. However, from December 23th to January 5th enjoy our Christmas present to you: All Plus features will be unlocked for everyone (users who bought Plus will get 14 days extra).
At the end a small outlook: Next year we will start to revise releases and version numbers. Our goal is to release a new version every month on Wednesday after first Tuesday. This schedule will also be reflected in the version numbers, which will be {year}.{month}.{revision}. With this we try to get more transparency in our updates and to offer you a specific patchday.
Content updates are of course also planned, so a new and more modern interface is currently being developed in cooperation with an external UX designer, which should run faster. Our current goal is to have it ready for release by the middle of the year. Furthermore the save-game-manager should be revised and contain more understandable names. Other planned functions are a trailer manager and partner companies, but these functions are still in the concept phase.
We'd like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas (or Hanukkah) and a Happy New Year 2020. Keep trucking!
Nico and the whole SpedV-Team
