“A crowd was beginning to gather in front of the billboard of the Sleeping Lion Inn. Mercenaries, bards, and commoners clashed in the hope of distinguishing their written name from the precious piece of parchment placed against the panel.
You could hear some people jostling, on the verge of drawing fists and swords. Others sighed loudly when they discovered that their text had not been retained. Eventually, you manage to get close enough to catch a glimpse of the names of the proud winners whose adventures would be told beyond the plains of Gloomhaven.”
Hello Mercenaries!
Our writing contest has come to an end! We’d like to thank everyone who tried their luck in this adventure. We loved reading your stories, from the most tragic to the most comical ones. Also, thank you to all the mercenaries who took time to read the entries and give their vote! Now is the time we reveal the winners…
Congratulations to the following entries:
- A Downed Traveler
- A Fateful Encounter
- Bloody Valrath
As a reward and as communicated before, the winners’ shorts stories will be added as Road Events in the digital edition of Gloomhaven!
Your writing skills and the great adventure you have told us will make you an integral part of the tales of Gloomhaven. Your story will be told and sung throughout the lands.
In order to better fit with the world of Gloomhaven and ensure game balance, we reserve the right to slightly modify and adapt certain passages and rewards so that they are in perfect harmony with other road events. Don’t worry! Any potential changes will be minimal, so as not to taint your work!
For a reminder, the contest rules can be found here.
Do not forget that the 10 entries that received the most votes will also be receiving a key for Gloomhaven on Steam. These should have already arrived in your provided email address, so make sure to check if you were one of the top 10!
We really enjoyed spending time reading your writings and running this contest. Thank you all for your involvement and support! Be prepared for more contests and challenges in the future as we continue to improve and enhance the Gloomhaven experience...let’s continue to share more and more adventures in the future!
