AI Rework, Rendering Changes and Intro Cutscene - Patch 10.33
Gameplay
Lacerating Bone Adept Lifesteal reduced from 2% of Max Health per Hit to 1% of Max Health per Hit.
Triceratops Rider Health reduced from 400 to 375.
Stampeding Triceratops Rider Health reduced from 400 to 375.
T-Rex Health reduced from 750 to 675.
Raging T-Rex Health reduced from 750 to 675.
Golem Health reduced from 800 to 750.
Assault Golem Health reduced from 800 to 750.
Frost Elemental Population cost increased from 2 to 3.
Blizzard Elemental Population cost increased from 2 to 3.
Master of Death talent Zombie Regeneration increased from +1 to +3.
Improvements
An intro cutscene has been added detailing some lore before the events of the Warparty Campaign.
The rendering system has been changed to full Physically Based Rendering from a legacy system. Textures and shaders have been reworked to make use of this system. The game’s visuals have been improved as well as giving us more flexibility for certain features. This also allows proper use of light baking in the future for significant performance gain.
The AI has received an upgrade to play more competently.
AI build locations are no longer generated but pre-created, reducing load times.
Survival Mode difficulty toned down for all difficulty settings.
Added two extra shrines to Survival Mode.
Wild Dinosaurs added to Survival Mode for a more interesting early game start.
Farms now have snow on winter maps.
Scaffolding now has snow on Winter Maps.
The first Triceratops in the Tutorial is now aggressive.
Implemented Steam ID check for Ranked Matchmaking.
Upgrade and Building completed notifications now show the name of the completed building or upgrade.
Optimized overall network traffic.
Observers can now access options.
Observers in the lobby no longer cause the player numbering to be in the wrong order.
Optimized the way the AI looks for resource nodes, improving performance.
The Main Menu now features various buttons to access Social Media and Warparty websites.
Fog of War no longer appears on the minimap if the game is set to “Full Vision”.
Bugs
Fixed a dialogue box in the Tutorial that was too small to fit all text neatly.
Finally found the cause of a bug that made units stop moving upon being upgraded.
Fixed a bug where units within the vision of a teammate were not always visible.
Fixed a bug in Custom Games where the map didn’t update properly when a new player joined.
Fixed incorrect scaling for destroyed buildings.
Fixed some overlapping text in the Bottom UI panel.
Made improvements for displaying the Wiki screen properly on 21:9 Aspect Ratio monitors.
Fixed overflowing text in the post-game graphs window.
Fixed a bug where colours were considered “taken” by spectators.
Fixed a bug where the game did not end properly when destroying all enemy buildings.
Fixed a bug where Healing Numbers appeared when a unit is trained.
Fixed a bug where certain SFX could be heard and PFX could be seen through the Fog of War.
Fixed a bug where Smart Queue wasn’t spreading production properly.
Fixed a bug where multiple people could join a Ranked lobby if they tried to join at the same time.
Fixed the model for the Archer that caused clipping issues.
Fixed a bug where the alert for a killed Chieftain was sent to all players.
Fixed a crash when a player assigns themself a spawn point, then set themself as observer.
Fixed a bug where the host could not assign AI locations if they were marked as an observer.
Fixed a crash that occurred if more than 7 players enter a lobby.
Fixed an incorrect tooltip for the Lava Elemental.
Fixed an issue in the Wiki where the Trade Post was floating.
