King of the Hill mode & Graphs - 0.10.8

Controls

  • Dragging the camera with the middle mouse button will no longer reset it to the center of the screen.
  • Left Clicking a spawn location that has already been filled in the lobby will now empty that location.

Gameplay

  • King of the Hill is now an available Game Mode in Custom Games! Fight to control the Shrine at the top and bring your counter down to 0 first to grab victory!
  • Survival Mode has been altered! Leaderboard position is based on score now. Defeating enemies will earn you points equal to the population cost of the enemy unit.
  • Survival Mode now features 3 Difficulty options that affects the speed and difficulty increase of the waves. Scores are modified based on the selected mode. (Easy = x0.5, Medium = x1.0, Hard = x1.5)
  • The post game screen now features Build Orders and Graphs! Analyze and compare your gameplay with allies and opponents and perfect your strategy!
  • Tower limit has been increased from 5 to 20. Every tower built after the first 5 adds an additional cost of 100 Food and 25 Crystal to the build cost.

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where units would occasionally stop detecting enemy units.
  • Fixed an issue where the in-game timer will start counting when the scene has been loaded instead of when the loading screen actually closes.
  • Fixed a bug where a penalty wasn’t always incurred when quitting the game through alt + f4 during a Ranked Match.
  • Fixed a bug where switching maps when someone joins a lobby would not show the updated map to the player that joined.
  • Fixed an issue where certain UI elements were wrongly aligned on 16:10 aspect ratio monitors.
  • Fixed an incorrect visualization for the Settlement attack range.
  • Fixed an audio issue where the building SFX were barely audible.
  • Fixed a bug where the arrow fire SFX kept playing for Towers and Settlements after enemies were gone.
  • Fixed a bug where the “Fullscreen” option wasn’t always working as intended.

Miscellaneous Improvements

  • Deleting units will now show a confirmation warning. This can be disabled in the Settings window.
  • The cursor will now change when having the “Ping Minimap Tool” enabled.
  • The size of the “Max Population Reached” alert has been slightly increased.
  • The Talent Flags can now be clicked on the entire graphic rather than just the icon.
  • The PFX for Fire have been significantly improved to be more visually pleasing.
  • The Survival map has received extra decoration for the lower part.
  • A unique model for Char’s Go’n Totem has been added!
  • A pass has been done over maps to match the terrain with the resource placement.
  • The “Random” option for selecting a faction in Ranked Multiplayer and Survival Mode has been moved up a bit to be further away from the “Play” buttons.
