Hey everyone! Hardy here. I just wanted to let you all know that I got a new PC which means I'll be running through the entirety of the game from start to finish including all side stuff looking for lingering bugs before we go into limited service mode. If you come across a bug - now is the time to report it so I can try to replicate and hopefully fix it! Moving into the new year, there will be no new content updates to CoA... besides the one that's already in the pipeline pending approval.
I was able to knock out some more for the Headless Hunter Pass. It is ultimately not as much as I wanted to get done, but we're completely out of time in the dev cycle for this year and it's time to leave CoA 1 behind and move on in favor of a more stable project both on my end and on the players'. So whatever bugs don't get patched out by the end of 2025 may be sticking around for a lot longer than any of us would like! The good news is that I've playtested for hundreds of hours and have listened to all the feedback I've received throughout our entire life cycle here on CoA and we've completely eliminated all game crashes, soft locks, and most other annoying little issues.
I have more to say about what things look like moving forward, but I'll save it for the Headless Hunter Pass post, which hopefully will be any day now. Speaking of which, failing on the art assets for the store of the DLC caused me to go back and update most of the graphical assets for the base game and most of the DLCs and also double check the store page descriptions of everything. We should be pretty much completely up to date ready to retire and leave this out there for players to enjoy.
Which leaves me with one final note for today... did you have any questions about the game or story or anything else? This might be one of the last times we get to communicate openly about this project before moving forward.
See ya soon,
//the CoA Team
//aka just me
