Hi Adventurers!
It's been another three weeks since the last issue of the Developer Face-to-face, a lot of the anticipated content has launched including the exciting pirate-themed Season 3 and the brand-new Adventurer Characters. Without further ado, let's jump in and see what we're working on behind the scenes!
Development focus- DX12
The 64-bit client has already launched, so our engineers are working hard on the final push of DX12 related development. We hope to complete that very soon and integrate DX12 into our QuicksilverX engine, drastically enhancing the game experience for everyone.
In the meantime, we’ll be closely monitoring the feedback for the 64-bit client, please reach out to us on any of our official platforms if you encounter any issues with it, thanks in advance!
3D Spawn-selection
Yep, that's a thing!
We will be making a fully interactive 3D model to display the entire map and replace the current 2D spawn-selection UI. Since the 3D map provides more details on the terrains, it will help everyone to make better spawn-selection decisions and to have a deeply immersive experience.
Moreover, we are going to make things more challenging and fun by randomly setting a high loot area, and mark that for everyone at the start of the game. High risk, high rewards!
Pirate Ship content update
The Pirate ship that would only show up under the Typhoon weather was initially designed with the intention to make it an "easter egg." But since everyone has been loving it so much, we are now re-evaluating this system, and we have decided to add a couple of more fun mechanics to it!
In a content update coming soon, players will receive a special flintlock pistol when they board the pirate ship along with other mysterious loot drops for that true-pirate-experience! Here's a concept art for the flintlock pistol below:

Underwater Treasure-hunting
The pirate ship inspired us to look more into the water areas on the map. We feel that engagements shouldn't be limited to ground-only so we will be doing some experiments to build some incentives for players to fight in water.
We will be placing some randomly-spawned treasures underwater, and provide an "underwater mobility equipment" along with a special weapon for all Adventurers! We can't wait to see what kind of new interaction this will bring to the meta!
Brand-new weapons
We plan to release two new SMGs: The Scorpion Evo 3 and the P90 at the end of the month. Combined with the mobility of the Glider and the Grappling hook, we believe these SMGs will come in very handy for CQCs and help players strike their opponents at unexpected moment. For more details and sneak peeks, make sure to follow us on social media!
While chatting with players, we realized that some felt the current terrain of Europa was a bit bland.
We realized that only having a singular terrain type (grass) can make people feel a little bored. So, we have decided to improve and optimize the terrains on Europa Island to make them more diverse, colorful, and realistic. We also plan to make adjustments to the terrain to further create more diverse gameplay
Vehicle handling improvements
After a series of gunplay optimization and improvements, we’re now working on improving vehicle handling and physics. The "vehicle physics improvement" will make the suspension affect the chassis more, making handling more realistic and satisfying. We understand that gunplay and vehicle handling are essential to any BR game, and each tiny detail can affect the game experience drastically. We want to continue to work on and improve this system until it is tweaked to perfection.
Okay! That sums up this issue's Developer Face-to-face. For more details, please keep an eye out on our various official platforms for our follow-up announcements.
For the content we have shared with you today, please don't hesitate to leave a comment below to express your feelings and ideas! We will continue to pay close attention to your feedback as always.
Thanks,
ROE DEV Team
