Hello everyone!
It has been two weeks since our "Europa Island Map 2-week Recap & Future Development Plans" announcement, since then, we received tons of brilliant suggestions from players on gunplay, matchmaking, events and more! Maintaining high efforts to constantly communicate with players, continue to develop new game content, and providing a better gaming experience for all players has always been the core concept of the ROE team.
Right now, ROE still isn't a fully fleshed out game, and it needs constant polishing. So, we will be posting more announcements like this in the future to keep you updated on our latest development progress. We hope everyone can keep the great suggestions coming and help us create a brighter future for ROE. Let’s get started!
I. About tomorrow's patch
Gunplay is something we care about a lot and something we want to continuously improve on. We will be deploying a patch tomorrow to do an overhaul to various weapons' ADS firing animation, making the visual presentation more realistic and impactful!
Please note: this is purely a visual improvement for the ADS gunfire animation, the weapon parameters remain untouched.
As we all know, the gunplay of a shooting game needs to be optimized and fine-tuned for years in order to achieve an overall satisfying level. From the very beginning, we have positioned gunplay as the core element of this game. During this time, the excellent feedback and suggestions you have provided helped us greatly. We are incredibly grateful to the players who have been supporting and encouraging us, thank you for making these changes possible and helping the game to grow!
II. 64-bit client and DX12 development
ROE is developed using the young, in-house engine: QuicksilverX. There are still some imperfections in the technology, but the advantage of using this engine is that we can upgrade and develop various engine features targeted for the specific needs of the game. When we launched the Adventurer Season Two, we added the Europa Island map and a lot of new systems and tech features. As a result, players have been experiencing increased client issues, and we have been trying our best to optimize and fix these issues quickly. The DX12 engine upgrade, which we are currently developing at full speed, is expected to bring an overall improvement in client performance, while the 64-bit client can solve the client crash caused by OOM (out of memory) related issues. Although the iteration of the technology usually takes a massive amount of time to complete, our programming team is working hard day and night to speed up the development process, striving to complete the 64-bit client and DX12 upgrade as soon as possible.
III. Anti-Aliasing improvements
Improving our Anti-Aliasing technology is very crucial for the game’s graphic presentation. We are already working on several optimizations on our current Anti-Aliasing feature, and we believe this improvement will make the game’s graphics smoother and more refined.
IV. Optimization relating to TenProtect and administrator privileges
Regarding the administrator permission pop-up window which some players are concerned about, the related development of the removal of this pop-up is nearly complete, and will be patched very soon. We will also continue to optimize the TenProtect Anti-Cheat system to provide better Anti-Cheating measures.
V. Limited Time Modes
To keep things fresh and exciting, we are working on the development of some new Limited Time Modes! These mind-blowing, action-packed LTMs are expected to rotate on a weekly basis. The initial plan is to open these modes at 4:00-6:00, 12:00-14:00, 20:00-22:00 (PST) every Saturday and Sunday.
Also, in order to let more new players get to know the Mt. Dione map, we decided to temporarily place these LTMs on Mt. Dione exclusively, and provide a 2X exp. bonus for all LTMs!
So, for the fun-chasers, the Mt. Dione lovers, and the Heroic Challenge exp. grinders, you do not want to miss out on these Limited Time Modes! Stay tuned!
VI. Weapon & attachment balancing and new weapons
Soon, we will roll out an update to buff some underperforming weapons. Also, we will introduce some new weapon features to meet their design goals better. For example, allowing equipping the red dot sight the Desert Eagle! And adding a brand-new weapon: the AK-15! This weapon has the same four attachment slot as the M4A1, combined with the deadly firepower provided by its 7.62mm ammunition. A fully kitted AK-15 will be an absolute beast! Can it dethrone the M4A1 and become the new king of ARs? Let's wait and see!

VII. Weapon Skins
The highly anticipated weapon skin system will be the most important step in our direction to enrich character customization possibilities after our accessories and vehicle appearance system! At present, our art team is working intensely on the designs, and we will unveil the mystery very soon, bringing you a more detailed look on this system.
VIII. Season Three Adventurer Character teaser
We noticed that although there is still quite some time before the end of S2, some players already started to come up with fascinating theories about what Adventurer Characters will be coming next. Today, we will be releasing the concept design art for one of the newcomers in S3. Can you guess his profession and his background story? Let's get our creative juice flowing!

IX. Upcoming in-game events
As we continue to add new content to the game, we also want to make sure that players can have more activities and events to participate in. Soon, we will launch some new in-game events, from check-in rewards to the brand-new "Pinnacle Challenges," which can help you earn an S3 Adventurer Pass in advance, FOR FREE! We hope that everyone can have fun while participating in these events and win some epic rewards.
X. Our first International eSports event
We are honored to announce that ROE's first international eSports event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in early April this year. Fifteen professional ROE teams from all regions around the globe will be invited to compete at the highest level on Europa Island! Preparations for the details of this event are going in full swing; we will post a follow-up announcement soon, stay tuned!

That sums up our first Developer Face-to-Face post! For more details, please keep an eye out on our various official platforms for our follow-up announcements.
