Dear players,
After the launch of Ring of Elysium's EU servers, we received overwhelming responses from players in Europe and its' surrounding regions. With more players engaged and immersed in the ROE game world. The development team appreciates everyone's support and we will continue to do our best to provide quality services.
When we first decided to launch the EU servers, we conducted a number of researches on the European market, combined with the professional advice from our technical support department, we eventually decided to deploy our EU servers in Frankfurt, Germany in order to cover more European regions and provide a smoother gaming experience for our players.
Since all player data are interconnected in Ring of Elysium, our game architecture consists of a lobby server and a combat server (the lobby server is located in the United States). In order to ensure a smooth gaming experience, we have multiple combat servers deployed around different regions (currently NA, AS, and EU). When entering a game, players will enter the corresponding combat server according to their choice.
Please note: Our combat servers uses UDP connection, so the information in your resource monitor (which only shows TCP connections) will not be accurate representations of your connection to the combat server.
At the same time, we have received some feedback about having high latency issues with EU servers, and even the problem of unable to connect to lobbies from a small group of players. The team has taken swift action and we are already in contact with our server provider for evaluation and optimization plans; we will pay close attention to this issue until it's solved.
At last, we would like to express our sincere appreciations again to all the loyal fans of ROE around the globe, we will gradually open more combat servers in the different regions as the game grows, thank you very much for your support!
