Hello everyone!
The release is going incredibly well, and I could have never imagined how many people would end up playing this game!
Thank you all for your feedback, I'll be working on Rolling Line for many months to come so all your bugs will be addressed asap, and many large improvements (to custom track in particular) will be coming.
I'll also be posting an update roadmap soon, as many people are keen to see what I've got planned!
Also keep in mind that I am still just one solo developer, so a ton of time is spent just keeping track of all the discussion and bug reports going on here on steam, along with Twitter and Facebook.
I'm trying to keep on top of all the questions people have, and I hope i can respond to as much as possible.
Anyway, today's small update adds a few things:
- Optional smooth rotation (instead of 'snap' rotation) for VR.
- Options to invert X and Y look with the mouse on PC.
- Shipping containers have been added to custom track.
- A bus and car have been added to custom track.
- Fixed a few spelling mistakes.
- Fixed the 'Z' key on the VR keyboard.
- Added a delay after teleporting that prevents you from pushing wagons, this helps prevent accidentally pushing trains apart when you teleport back to large scale.
- A temporary fix to the PC menu breaking issue, but it still need to look further into this. Let me know if you run into issues with your saves, as this seems to be what is causing it.
Now, for something a little more interesting!
Submit your custom track saves to be added to the "extra layouts" section!
Since workshop support isn't in the game yet (but it is coming!) in the mean time I would love to manually add some of your best maps to the game for everyone to play.
You can export save games as simple plain text, just use the "copy save to clipboard" option when your save is selected, then paste to an empty text file.
This is great for sharing saves between friends, or even backing up your valuable saves.
I would recommend putting saves on something like PasteBin, as Steam chat has a character limit that will cut off the end of a save.
If you would like to have your save included in the game, please post a pastebin (or similar) link to your save file in plain text in this comment section, and ill try to add as many as i can!
Here is an example:

Try copying the text in this save, then choosing "load save from clipboard" in game!
