It's with immense pleasure that I'm reaching out this week because I have fantastic news!
The Studio Director is now working!
Some features are still missing - I'd like it to handle game updates, and I plan to add this in the coming weeks.
You should know that this feature required extensive code modifications. As a result, there are several side effects and potential bugs.
I've managed to address the most critical issues this week, having released 2 updates and an unannounced patch.
For now, the Studio Director doesn't generate any revenue. So I recommend making the most of it before I add this component.
Adding this will likely take several weeks, as there's the entire interface aspect to manage, not to mention other bugs to fix.
Still, this update is already incredible, and I think you're going to love it.
As you've probably figured out, in the coming weeks, I'll continue working on the Studio Director and fixing bugs.
However, I'd also like to work on other aspects of the game, particularly consoles, so their manufacturing costs adjust based on units sold. Rest assured, if I don't have time to implement this for v1.21.0, it will be in v1.22.0 - I won't leave you hanging.
If you're already on City Game Studio's unstable branch, I'd love to hear your suggestions and feedback on this new feature! Please share them in the comments. I read everything, respond, and most importantly, listen - you're really helping me build City Game Studio!
It's been an exhausting week working 12+ hours daily to finish this, but it was worth it. I'll be taking it a bit easier in the coming weeks.
With that said, big hugs to you all,
Take care,
Xavier aka Binogure
