Hi All,
Today I've been working on some issues you have reported that have been hampering smooth progress in the game. Alpha 88 makes the following changes:
-selling ticket machines correctly removes them from the Commerce report list (don't forget you can check and change prices of all your shops and machines there, a good way to make more money that!)
-vending machine, flower shop, hot dog stall, kiosk sold water are now all correctly fully restock every morning
-scenario goals are now optional. In later zones, you get scenarios eg. norovirus, which come with additional goals like build a first aid kit if you haven't already. There were not optional. This appeared to be causing a glitch where even if you completed all platforms the level would not progress. These goals are now optional, and as such the glitch should not prevent you progressing.
-staff don't cost bond. Yes, a big one. A number have people have become stuck after spending all their bonds on staff, meaning they were unable to unlock the last platform to progress their campaign. This should not be possible now, as staff now cost money (related to their level) to hire, not bonds. If your progress has been stopped, apologies for that one. You should restart your campaign and see how you get on with this.
I've noticed a few players failing to build adverts in their games. At the risk of spoiling the surprise, adverts make you money! If you are low on money, build them - preferably in busy places :) They also increase buying urges for that product, further increases sales and income.
In a few updates time I'm going to force a campaign reset. This is just a heads up, that in a few days probably, you will be asked to start a new campaign. I will mention it here also. Periodically in early access this will be necessary as old bugs are otherwise preserved in your saves and I will keep getting reports for issues in fact already fixed.
The campaigns, being procedural, are designed to be replayed so I'm hoping that won't be too much of a problem..?
Thanks again for your help and also for those who took the time to leave a review! That really is fantastically useful, its very appreciated for such a small dev like us,
Al.
