TaleSpire has had a bug that has caused numerous issues recently.
The bug was that things would break if we added or removed a script from tiles or props that had already shipped and been used in boards.
Two manifestations of this were:
- Certain assets (like the cryo-pod) had graphical glitches
- Hide volumes interacting with certain assets could crash the game
While we didn't have any reports of the issues causing corruption to any board saves, the possibility was unacceptable, and this bug became our top priority.
This release fixes the issue.
There are also some upsides.
- Less data is needed to save the board, so downloading boards may become slightly faster.
- We can now make more tiles and props interactable, which will finally allow us to address a few of your feature requests.
We have tested this release as heavily as we were able. Still, don't hesitate to get in touch with us on Discord if you have any issues loading or saving boards that worked before this release.
Until next time.
