Backstory
Tech. Rex was freshly revived from fossils by the magical anomalies of the fragmented Soul Summoner in the Stumble Steppe - only to immediately get flattened by a crashing alien spaceship. Talk about a bad first day back. Feeling a bit guilty, the aliens hauled his flattened carcass aboard and "saved" him using whatever mechanical joints they had not thrown out as space junk yet. During rehab, they realized his roar was shattering their test tubes and the Brainiacs' glass helmets, so they replaced his vocal cords with a cannon. He cannot roar anymore, but he does fire pulverizing lasers of mass destruction from his maw. A fair trade, honestly.
