Welcome to the start of T5
There is a lot of new content for T5 so I strongly recommend a new game start.
This is the start of T5, so expect bugs! Report all that you find.
Thank you and enjoy.
UPDATES
Features
· Main Plotline Scrapbook
It is only just a starting placeholder, however as I add the main plot to the game, your scrapbook will fill up with all kinds of paper cuttings and items.
Investigation quests are now disabled until they are coded correctly as part of the main plot - however these are only part of the ways you will get plot updates. - Stay tuned!
· Front Line allocation.
Combat allocation has been redone. You can set if a character is frontline melee or reserves on the character screen. Once all chosen frontline have been allocated, all other positions are filled as they currently do. This means you can stick a character in a military building to train up, without them being sent to the front.
· Feats!
Character feats are now available in the customisation screen.
They cost old coins and most require either a certain level of skill or acquired stats during game play.
· Pets!
Pets are a new equipment type that can be equipped as well as all your normal equipment. They can offer all kinds of buffs to their owners.
If you are lucky enough to find a pet, you can equip it on the character customisation screen.
If you have an attack pet then it cannot be blocked by an enemy shield. However it can be dodged and does not cause a critical, it also does not set off any 'on-hit' special abilities of monsters.
· Random Boss Encounters.
Random Boss Encounters are like Doomclock Encounters except they are not unique and not as tough. Once defeated they may re-appear. Boss Encounters have special loot tables and you may have to defeat them several times in order to get all their special treasure drops.
· Pause!
The game will now pause during certain points and display a game paused notification on screen. Please report any issue with the game running/paused out of sync.
· Game Speed!
You can now increase and decrease the game speed during play. There are 5 speed settings with Speed 1 being very slow. (Speed 0 is also available and this will pause the game!)
· Throwing Spears!
Throwing spears have replaced face paints in the crafting menu. They are an early ranged weapon that uses Strength as it's prime stat.
· Axes!
Axes are now in game. Obsidian tools have been removed and Stone Axe now takes it's place in the craft menu. Axes cause a short Stagger and Bleed on a critical.
· Added pictures to all character portraits for non-visible equipment.
Changes
· Changed Fine Silver Dagger to use Intellect in line with Normal Silver Dagger.
· Reduced the amount of wood to bake bread from 2 to 1.
· Killing blows will now increase a characters max HP by 1. Just like a lioness teachers her cubs to hunt, so can your Veterans cripple monsters for your newbies to kill :)
· Changed Resting Healing, Characters resting at home will now heal using the lowest foods first. This will stop characters eating your research food unless there is nothing else.
· Villagers with Intellect of 4 or 5 read skillbooks twice as fast.
· Reduced the amount of wood it takes to smelt Tin, Copper, Silver and Gold from 5 to 4. Please clear your active smelting recipes when you reload an old save! - you will see an in game error asking you to do this.
· Increased the amount of Hit Points jewellery offers across all jewellery.
· Obsidian Tools have been removed. If you previously had any such tools, they will now be Stone Axes. You will gain no craft speed from currently equipped Axes in the Misc slot and once de-equipped they will only be able to go to the Weapon slot. Anyone loading an existing game will have this recipe unlocked, new games will require research.
· Stone Axes. Axes will be introduced along the other Era's also. This is part of character Feats that are coming soon.
· Some minor memory and process improvements
· Changed some early buildings to generate slightly less threat.
· Removed War Paint as it was unnecessary.
· Tweaked a few research times to offer a better pace.
· Reduced the amount of Tin Ingots required for both Tin Breastplate and Tin Skullcap to make them more affordable early on.
· Slightly reduced the chances of Settlement attacks.
· Increased the frequency of merchants

Was it always like this?
Not as far as the tales are told. Out in the bramble there are stories of strange ruins made by a civilisation long lost.
No one knows when they lived but what is known, is that the language passed down to you now, is the same language. Scouts sometimes find ancient scripts, speaking of strange things from long ago.
