Hi guys,
we are really excited! All-Star Fruit Racing will be released in Early Access in a few hours! This project is very important for us and, we fervently hope that All-Star Fruit Racing will become one of your favorite games!
As announced before, we'll be working hard to release a new update every week. Our goal is to release, as soon as possible, the online multiplayer. We are perfectioning some online details but, first of all, we prefer you training for the big online challenges.
We recommend to start immediately with Career Mode: in this way, you can unlock new characters, new tracks and new difficulty levels, as soon as possible. So you'll begin to taste the game a little by little.
At Day 1 of Early Access, you can play 2 different Gameplay Modes: RANDOM JUICER and JUICER. Dragster, Elimination and Elimination Mix will be added during Early Access, as soon as they are ready.
In this DevBlog #3, we explain the first two Gameplay Modes.
RANDOM JUICER
It is the less strategic mode: Random Juicer is perfect for a new player because it gives the chance to learn and to become familiar with tracks, characters, racing formats and other essential features.
In the Random Juicer mode, players collect a “surprise” bubble which gives a random move, within all available!
JUICER
It is the main gameplay mode: players collect fruits on track, during the race, to fill the tanks.
This gameplay feature is the Juice Extractor System (the Juicer): positioned on the back of each kart the juicer blends fruits that are collected on track during the race. The resulting fresh juice obtained can be used to unleash unique Skills and Powers for your kart.
Once you have filled a tank you can unleash a power move to gain advantage over your opponents. If you have two or more tanks full then you can choose to use a combo move, the more tanks that are full the stronger the combo move.
Patience however is a virtue, wait until all four tanks are full and you can throw a “Mega-Juice” skill. Each pilot has its own unique “Mega-Juice” move that can only be used if all four tanks are full, these power moves if used correctly and strategically have the potential to turn a race on its head.
Gameplay is easy to learn, hard to master. An expert gamer can choose more difficult tracks in order to collect more fruit and can also manually deactivate their karts tanks.
