Just an advance notice this time that Rock 'N Roll will be seeing another price increase around the middle of October from $3.99 USD now to $5.99 USD as several new features and additions start to be implemented into the game.
It's important to me to keep the value of Rock 'N Roll high to the consumer, but on the same token as an indie developer trying to make an honest dollar, it's important that I also make some kind of compensation for the cost of everything I've spent just to get this game on Steam and to make the game. I've invested a lot of money and time developing Rock 'N Roll to be what I believe is the best Asteroids! arcade action game not only on Steam, but also that I've ever played myself.
As an indie game reviewer and content creator on my YouTube channel (Zaxtor99), I've played a lot of these types of games over the past three or four years. A lot of these similar games are priced from 99 cents to $6.99. Firmly believing that Rock 'N Roll is the best one available on Steam, with new features being added recently and planned in the near future, I think $5.99 is more than a fair asking price. Also note that regardless how much more content I add to Rock 'N Roll, a $5.99 USD asking price will never be increased again.
Steam has the final say on whether another price increase will be accepted for Rock 'n Roll however, so nothing is guaranteed. However, I wanted to make an announcement this time so that anybody who might be considering making a purchase knows now ahead of the potential price increase that it IS indeed planned.
Look for the addition of the A55 Kicker, a friendly beer can turret to come to Rock 'N Roll in the next day or two, and an all new bonus mode added to the game by mid October. More additions are planned soon for Rock 'N Roll as well such as an all new enemy, a new game mode, and much more!
Please feel free and comment below, and let me know your thoughts and perhaps any ideas or suggestions that you'd love to see in Rock 'N Roll! The great thing about being an independent indie developer is there are really no rules and our imagination is the limit for a game like this!
