Finally! Here comes the fun!
I stumbled over an amazing design decision that combos with billions of star systems: Random Events.
It was from an old game I had called "Absurdity Trail" which was like an educational game we all played in highschool, and random events happen every so often... But they border on insanity levels of weirdness. Starfighter General will have these random events...
They tie in with the questing system and an old game for C64 who I talked with the maker in using some of his tropes. It also used random events.
So random events every so often like 'aliens attack', 'ship to loot', 'anomoly', distress signal, a mutant wants to trade, 'space pirates demand booty', worm holes, a giant sloth that appears and never stops chasing you, or even advancing the quests!
Random events + Randomized universe + Static places that raise the events quality and zones that give different random events + items to find better events + items to protect you from events + rare locations in the galaxy + diminishing returns to encourage exploring instead of camping one nook of the galaxy =AWESOME!
This will be a SuperNova of Fun! I want this in asap. It may go in tomorrow, some random events then we keep adding events. Multiplayer even MMO with infinite players is boring unless this is in, so we're doing this now. Expect a patch ASAP.
Unlike cannonized Space games, tv series, and movies, anything is possible here... The dimensions of untold realities coalesce, there is a sanity bar, and sometimes losing sanity unlocks funny play styles... No game has ever been like Starfighter General, and will any game ever be like it again... This is designed by a man who has 150,000 hours dedicated to gaming,design,coding... #1 world a bunch of video games... I'm in this for fun, not money, I'm an artist first and foremost, ready to show you games you never saw before or ever dreamed of.
