User Tiwaking identified a bug. I fixed it and added new features too.
Bug fixes:
I) UI now clickable again (Thanks Tiwaking. I o u some triderium for helping find a bug.)
II) Restored 5 user accounts manually which got corrupted because I used all the space on the server with files that didn't need to be on it.
This is good because I am doing proper daily backups. :)
I know many small companies that don't do this properly.
If you still can't play, make a message on the boards.
III) Triderium voice less annoying. Triderium display 'more' correct.
IV) Misc bug fixes
Feature Upgrades:
a) Ships have proper names
b) Alerts and messages revised
c) Researching has lower tier pyramid style requirements of knowing relevant techs and such before getting to higher techs.
Tier 2 hybrids require both Tier 2 of their respective types.
T3 requires two hybrids with the subtype that you want to research T3
Say you want to research Agile, you need 2 of the following: agileassault, agileshield, agilebomber, agileram
T3hybrd requires three t3, 2 of which must be the T3 of their respective types.
T4 requires all t3 hybrids with the type you want. Say you wanted to research Agile, you'd need ALL: agileassault, agileshield, agilebomber, agileram
t4 hybrid requires all five t4 researched
t5 requires all t4 hybrids researched
t5 hybrid requires all t5 ships researched
Level 60 is the cap of research now, but in the future, we'll be using it, so it couldn't hurt to upgrade past 60.
That's all folks for the patch notes.
Here is some upcoming things in future patches:
(TO DO) a) Ship Power Levels can be read when building and reseaching too
(TODO) b) Galactic News Network GNN now broadcasts news items in anticipation for the MMO.
(TODO) c) When you target things in combat, a text read out about it appears
(TODO) d) BONUS: Random Events when raiding, like aliens to get bonus points, phenomena, all sorts of crazy stuff.
(TODO) e) Level display on Storedisplay of building
And of course, we're setting up for MMO dev. I just got side tracked with a bug fix, and I don't like to just fix a low priority bug. I like to add some features too for your fun! Woo, vijeo gamez! Stay with me, and this game will get AWESOMEIFIED over the years, maybe one of the best games of all time since no one knows design and development and what is fun like me. I keep seeing everyone screw up their AAA titles and I'm like, come on guys, you get paid to make those, have some pride and do it right. So I throw my hat in the ring, and it's about to get awesome...
