So some good news: I fixed the upside-down texture bug! Whoo! I also increased the max objects per map, as well as the max frame rate. This will all be included in 2.0 on Halloween.
What I am doing now is perfecting the world editor. The most important thing is that I'm dividing the assets (objects, images, sounds, music, and scripts) into separate folders for each story file. This will mean that each new DLC story file will have to have duplicate copies of the default resources if it's gonna use them, taking up more hard disk space. It sounds counter-intuitive, but allow me to explain.
I got really into user-generated content for Neverwinter Nights 1 back in the day. Lots of that stuff was far superior to the official campaign, and that's what I'm hoping for here as well. Unfortunately, downloading some user-generated mods used to fuck with other user-generated mods in NWN, which is what I am hoping to avoid here. I want each downloadable story file to have its own assets folder, so that it will not fuck with the assets of another story file. That means more hard disk space, but less confusion and irritation, hopefully.
I'm also trying to make the World Editor and Builder's Manual as clear and user-friendly as possible. It should all be ready in two weeks. Thanks to all the users here on Steam that reported bugs and suggestions. Without you bastards, I would still be lost on itch.io somewhere with no customers.
