If you didn't see the last post, I was on a small hiatus as the motivation to work on my game fell into a decline. It had nothing to do with me being bored of it, it was just a slump that I'm hopefully over now. As a result this update is late, but better late than never! Anyways here's the breakdown:
This update includes new items, a new room type, and a new boss! The included features will only be active for a couple weeks so get the special items while you can because once the features are switched off there will be no other way to get them!
Bugfixes
- Fixed the Bandit casting Worthy Sacrifice even if the Forgotten King is dead
Additions
- Added a new status effect, Fear. Fear forces a target to use their damaging attacks/spells on allies. A feared unit CANNOT skip their turn and MUST attack or cast a damaging ability onto an ally. They can only skip if they are either the only unit alive in their party, or if they are unable to attack/cast spells
- Added the Reaper. He's a Warrior Boss whose spells revolve around a new status effect, Fear. He can Fear your party with Sow Fear and follow with Waking Nightmare to damage and Stun those he Feared. He has a spawn of 0 so he can appear at any time during your run!
- Added the Reaper's unique weapon, Nightmare. This grants a 20% chance to Fear for 2 turns on Attack
- Added the Reaper's unique armor, Harvester. This grats a 10% chance to Fear for 2 turns when Damaged
- Added the Reaper's unique offhand, Dream Eater. This grants a 35% damage bonus to Feared units
- All unique items the Reaper drops can be equipped by any class type (Warriors, Mages, Rogues, and Archers)
- Added the Cursed Room. This room afflicts your party with a debuff for the next combat encounter. There's 15 different effects and the room can spawn at any time during the run so watch out!
- In the Character Selection screen, if you input a name but forget to confirm it the game sets your name to whatever is in the input box
