Greetings from Vanimals!
So as many already know, we’ve pushed back the release window to the fall (hopefully no further changes!) and have been hard at work on getting the game to where it needs to be.
With that in mind, we’ve had our current demo version out in the wild for players to experience since the spring Steam Festival...so it’s long overdue for an update!
Wait…. AN UPDATE?!
You bet and no it’s not just more Zombies for us all to hide Cody from!
One of our biggest sources of feedback has been from you all checking out the demo, reaching out to us be it here or on Discord (seriously join us there) to let us know your thoughts, concerns, and ideas for the game.
We greatly appreciate that and ask that you keep doing so!
So here is just a quick rundown of what to expect and of course, please let us know what you think!
We took the 'work' out of 'Guesswork' with our brand new UI and UX
- The new UI conveys more information to the player while looking sleek and stylish
- Tutorials, quests, tips and hints make the experience directed while giving the player the freedom to do whatever!
- Introducing the Minimap V0.1!
- Oh, the world map has been touched up as well
- Managing your storage is not a chore anymore. Unlike real-life
- Track what ingredients you need wherever you go
- Dropped loot is now easier to see. Now if only zombies dropped crowbars
Balance, balance, and balance.
- No need to use twenty crowbars to defeat one zombie!
- Surviving is now a challenge and not an impossibility
- Made securing resource supply chain manageable
Sam Fisher joins the fray!
- No, not really. But that'd be cool right? However, Anling can now sneak around to avoid combat
Home Alone meets Undying
- Channel the power of Kevin McCallister to craft new defensive fixtures
Pew, Pew, Pew
- It's easier to get Cody a slingshot now making him effective in fights from earlier in the game
Intro storyboard? Not anymore!
- We've turned that black and white storyboard into a cinematic, with colour!
- It's still a WIP
Thanks again and stay tuned for the next update about the game coming very very soon!
Make sure to wishlist Undying!
