As we are about to bid farewell to the Winter Hacking event and Hacktag is getting into the groove of 2018, let's talk about the future of the game. But first:
A little look back at 2017
Hacktag has now been on Early-Access for 6 months. During this time, there have been more than 26 updates including 4 major ones and thanks to your support, suggestions, and complaints (yes, we like those too) we can say that Hacktag has become a much bigger game than what we imagined two years ago! For the anecdote, the Hacktag we had in your mind had only 2 playable characters and no couch-coop mode!

Yeah, there are a couple of differences. (And my gif making skills have improved.)
And now Hacktag is counting 12 playable characters versus 4 at the start of E.A and triple the number of levels by publishing a new map every week during the first 4 months. In the meantime, we managed to get rid of the very annoying online bugs we suffered at the beginning while polishing and adding content almost every week.
Hacktag price will soon increase
At this point, the major part of the development is done and Hacktag already contains hours of co-op fun and many opportunities to get stressed and yell at each other. (You're welcome ;) )
As we announced at the start of the Early-Access period, the price of the game would increase during the development and this is why we want to announce that the time has come. You have a few days left to get Hacktag at its old price 14,99 USD/EUR before it changes to the final price 19,99 USD/EUR at the end of the week (or the corresponding price depending on your regional currency.)
So if you are following the game, but don't have it in your Steam library yet, now would be a good time to get it ;)
What's next for 2018
Obviously, the price changing won't be the only new thing for Hacktag this month and the new price will not come alone. We want to keep you on your toes a little longer, but rest assured we will keep adding more content, including some of the things that you requested the most, probably even more than the foxes! I know, the suspense is thrilling, I have a masters degree in cliffhangers. :p
