Affliction,
Hello everyone!
Currently, we're prepping the game for release. We've been testing nonstop and fixing bugs, polishing, reducing load times and clutter, and doing everything we can to ensure that release will be as smooth as possible. We've fixed several major bugs and errors that caused the game to be pretty much unplayable and we're confident now that the game is in good enough shape to ship out to Steam. While we cannot give an exact date, please understand that it is this way for a reason. The reason being polish. Please also keep in mind that Affliction will be in Early Access for some time and it is currently in late alpha stages of development. Most of the work we've got left to do will be an absolute huge amount of mapping, some cinematics, some small puzzles, and work on the storyline. The core systems are pretty much all good to go.
There is significantly more content that will be released initially than previously planned so that is why it took a little longer than expected but more content is a plus. You can see what the game has to offer currently, here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/617590/discussions/0/1474221865183892053/
The thread listed above will be updated as development progresses. The content viewed in this thread is likely to double, triple, or even quadruple in size as time goes on. There is a lot of content planned.
I plan to upload the build to Steam within the next few days (if all goes well in testing) to then have our designated Steam testers try it out. Shortly after that, the game is planned to be released and it will be in perfect timing for Halloween! :-)
As stated before, the game will receive updates and patches as soon as possible, but take in mind that working with 3D is a lot different than working with 2D so updates will likely be every couple of months but there will be a stable line of communication with me (Corrosion) directly on the Steam Community Hub for the game. I'll also be posting announcements constantly to showcase our work.
Last but not least, thank you. Thank you to everyone who has believed in the project and helped it come to life, you'll soon be able to see what you helped create!
