Affliction,
Okay, so as many of you know, the game has been under development for a very long time already. It will continue to be this way so there is an absolute abundance of game play. I've taken care of most of the core mechanics in the game already, but things are subject to change especially if the community wishes it. As of this moment, there are 9 maps in the game that form 2 chapters. Upon release, it is planned that there will be 11 maps and they form 2 complete chapters and should offer a few hours of game play. Depending on play style, game play time may vary but in the future there will be a ton of maps and chapters so it shouldn't be an issue. There will probably be something like several dozen maps that combine to form several chapters. Don't quote me on those numbers exactly, but I want the game to offer a lot of play time.
Now, for some reason, with this game, whenever I try to upload a build to Steam over top of a pre existing build, it doesn't fully update. So, there will be times during Early Access where for part of a day, the game may be updated several times and there may be times when the game isn't playable for a few hours. Believe me, I will do everything I can to get it sorted as soon as possible just as I've done in the past with previous projects. I pay very close attention to the issues and bugs my games have and take care of them as soon and as best I can.
On to release details. I have definite plans to release the game very soon. Another month at the most unless something drastic takes place. I've been working on it every single day and pulling all nighters so I'm literally going as fast as I can. I know a lot of people are eagerly awaiting the release. I just want to finish up the last 2 maps for chapter 2 so that players get 2 full chapters to play, their money's worth, and have enough to do in the first Early Access release. The DLCs will also be released with the game so if anyone wishes to help us out and support is a bit more than average and get some neat stuff, please do. All the DLCs are just additional content and purely optional.
Updates will not be as often or numerous as with my previous titles. They will be less often, but MUCH BIGGER and offer a lot more content additions and changes. This will also give the community a lot of time to be able to contribute ideas and so on.
Please stay tuned! I hope you're all just as excited as we are at Corrosive Studios!
