Howdy, fellow Flippers! 👋
Here we are, even more excited than the last time! As the Farm DLC development is heading the right way, we’re once again super grateful for your recent support and all the questions regarding the DLC. We’ll be slowly shedding more light on this project, and this time, we have a little advice for you – sit back, put on some cozy banjo music, and enjoy this building-themed Farm DLC devlog! 🧰
Also, along with the second development update, we’d like to give you a chance of winning some exciting prizes! Let’s not waste any more time, and ENTER THE GIVEAWAY NOW! All the details are available in the link or after clicking the image below:
What’s new:
Mechanics
Can we build it? Yes, we can!
After listening to your suggestions, we’ve concluded that current apartments are pretty small and certainly a bit too limited at their core. Therefore, check out the new “extension” mechanics we've been working on lately.
Please keep in mind that it's still a work in progress. 🏠
Let us know what's your opinion about this feature!
Stop! Hammer time! 🔨
Tiles, and a bit of willpower, can turn even the most shabby rooftop into a glittering one. Along with our new roof repairing mechanics that we're improving, you'll get a chance to work at heights and make your houses even more classy.
Feel like a fiddler on the roof, but with a hammer in your hand
Items
We thought it would be nice to show you a bunch of new items we've been working on lately.
Firstly, we're bringing some new gate models and animations – let us know if you like them. 🚪
Let's not forget about wheelbarrows! A farmer wouldn’t survive the hardship of his work without his loyal one-wheeled friend. Let’s be honest, there would be no countryside without them…
Furthermore, we have a weathercock. Just imagine all the creaking sounds.
They can be your gates to the farmer's world
Can you hear the creaks?
Attention! Cuteness overload incoming! 👀
Sooo, we’ve also prepared some fancy plush toys inspired by farm life. The goat, sheep, horse, and llama will accompany you during the warm evenings as you watch the fruits and vegetables ripen.
If that wasn’t enough, we give you an additional portion of cuteness, presenting more cute plushies! 😻
Make some noise for them in the comments!!
Environment
When it comes to surroundings, we decided to showcase a new farm-themed mailbox that is a part of the Farm DLC exclusive environment. A cute little barn on a pillar! Isn't that astonishing? 📬
Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks could say: "You’ve got mail"
Keep up with the latest
Okay Flippers, we've come to the end of this development update. We hope you liked our building-themed showcase, which shed new light on a few mechanics and items. It would be awesome if you could share your thoughts and feedback.
We've heard your questions about the frequency of our devlogs, so we'd like to announce that a new Farm DLC devlog is going to be coming every 2 months.
As always, we recommend you follow us on social media to keep up-to-date with all the recent news.
If you’re curious how our friends from Frozen Way are doing, we have a little surprise for you! They’ve just released the first-ever development update of Honeycomb! It’s still warm, and you can find some cute animals in it.
