On ancient rhymes
A recent find—an ancient stone of a type I am unable to identify—has me brushing off my very dusty poetic skills, of all things. How many sweethearts had I chased away with my tedious verses as a student? One gets to an age when even failures are fond memories. But I digress. To myself. Right.
