Hi!
Many will have noticed an increase in the number of updates these days, practically every day. Usually small updates of bug fixes. This has arisen after the update of the internal code redesign, necessary for what is to come.
My intention is to leave the public version as stable as possible while I focus on finishing the new features that will be included.
This week I will enable the Nightly branch. In this version you will be able to access the newest version of the game to help with the testing and feedback by the time it moves to the public version.
Note that the Nightly version can be bugged and can receive constant wipes. In this version the updates will be practically daily, but it is possible that there are days that the update is not published if I see that the build of that day is broken. (Does not compile or has critical game breaking bugs)
Throughout the Nightly version the following features will be implemented, briefly:
Next features
- Redesign of the services and ports system. From now on if you want to install a service on a machine you have to make sure that the router has the corresponding open port and points to the correct LAN machine. To access the router configuration, you must open the browser and enter the router's LAN address, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
- First iteration of the traffic camera system.
- New missions and review of current ones.
- Start of missions in police stations and use of the Karma system.
- Use of multithreading for Single-player and dedicated Server. This can mean an increase in performance in the singleplayer mode, for cases where the internal processes of the game can cause hiccups in certain computer configurations. In the case of the dedicated server, it will help reduce server load and lag when there are many players online.
- First information generated by Npcs as emails between them, which could give clues to access the machine we want.
From now on more and more alternatives will be added to be able to access to a remote machine, since exploits are not the only way and in many cases the exploit we are looking for, may not yet exist.
More news soon!
