Hi Everyone!
So this took me quite a bit longer to rework than I thought it would. But the good news is that the system is MUCH better now, and after testing it quite a lot I think it is in a really good place now. Normally I am able to keep the "Starving" number to under 5% of my population (often much less) pretty much all the time. The shopping system is one of the (if not the) most important system in the game, and now that is in a much more refined state it will allow me to start to put in more of the desires as the game progresses.
Patch Notes:
- 100% rework of the unit Shopping AI. This should smooth out the process of markets getting your people what they actually want, without your people buying horrible choices unless there is no other options available.
- Markets now softcap their resources at 24 per resource.
- Markets now store 75 total units of resources up from 50.
- Added Market Upgrade: This upgrage costs 100 gold and 10 bricks. It gives the market 25 more storage capasity, as well as 1 more merchant slot. This upgrade seems to help smoothe
- Fixed a bug in the display for the market resources in which their capasities were not updating properly.
- Slightly increased the rate at which grapes grow.
- Units are a bit better at picking which market to shop at.
- Units can now buy more food at once.
