Hey Everyone!
Bullet point wise this is on of the larger recent patches, it has a bit of everything in it. The Butcher shop converts sheep to meat, and meat is a 3/6 t2 food (meaning that t2 houses want it). Grapes have been moved to a t3 food in perpetration for an expanded housing system at a later date. Lots of small balance changes have made it in as well as some bug fixes, and a touch of polish work to boot.
Unfortunately the 1 thing this patch doesn't have is the campaign. So far I have about 1.5 levels done, but I have completed all of the pipeline work as well as most of the different tutorial functionality. When I have 3 levels done I will get it out to you guys. Sorry for the delay, but the tutorial functionality kinda kicked my butt. After the initial 3 levels come out I expect to have an average of about 1 level per week created.
Patch Notes:
- New Building: Butcher Shop. The Butcher Shop will convert 1 sheep to 3 meat.
- New Resource: Meat. Meat will be a tier 2 food (level 2 houses want it). Meat costs 3/6 (local/trade).
- Bowyer shops now have 3 Bow Worker slots down from 4.
- Bows now require 30% less work to create (this is to balance out the above).
- Blacksmith shops now have 3 Blacksmith slots down from 4.
- Swords now require 30% less work to create (this is to balance out the above).
- Wine now requires 4 grapes down from 5.
- Wine has had its value reduced to 20/40 (local/trade) down from 25/50.
- Grapes have been bumped up from level 2 food, to level 3 food (meat will now fill the role of the desired level 2 house food). This will have the effect of people being less likely to spend to much on grades (meat is cheaper than grapes), as well as prepair for level 3 housing.
- Sheep farms now produce 2 sheep per cycle.
- Sheep prices have been reduced to 6/12 down from 8/15.
- Vineyards now produce 5 units of grapes down from 6
- Added how many items are produced to the production area of the Building Info menu as well as to the building buy tooltip (for instance the farm will show 8 grain being produced now).
- Fixed a rare crash having to do with resources being spent.
- Fixed a bug where sometimes the first time a new resource was taken to a warehouse it would only create the slot but not add the resources.
- The happiness tooltip now shows your populations top 3 issues up from 2.
- Mouse Input should no longer click through other active programs and affect the game.
- Keyboard input should no longer affect the game when the game is not the active window.
- The affect that snow has on farming has been reduced.
- Slightly increased the speed that builders build.
- Slightly reduced the "Carrying Resource" speed penalty.
- Market's storage now looks like warehouse storage does.
- Fixed a bug where Granaries seemed to randomly turn away new goods...
- Fixed a crash that has to do with flooding.
I really hope you guys are able to "feel" the difference all these changes are having. I know for me the amount of time I can play without having to stop and fix something is growing substantially. Thank you all for pushing me to make things better, it does help to know that spending the extra time working on the game will help make your experiences better.
If you guys are enjoying the game, or at least like where it is going, please take a minute and put up a review for the game. Every little bit helps, and I would love to get a bit more traffic so that I can afford to have another batch of sounds and music made for the game. Thanks in advance!
