We have introduced achievements, area population statistics and area-based chat, while continuing to address any reported issues and improve overall user experience.
Patch Notes:
Clothing
- Added Earrings for male and female including round, heart, star, hoops, pumpkin and bat.
Environment
- Added a larger house type to both kiokio and metarahi. This home has lots of room for dancing, and more space for guests to come sit at.
- Added a work-in-progress horse racing track to kio-kio, not currently functional, but can be played on.
- Adjusted foliage around Kiokio ri te rawhiti.
- Fixed ‘glowing green light’ at Ahi Tere, and other areas.
- Added spawn point to the cinema on Kiokio as well as added spawn-points at 2 hidden locations.
- Adjusted seating at Cinema on kiokio
- Added decorative lighting at Cinema on kiokio
- Fixed alignment of various meshes
- Renamed Kiokio ri te rawhiti to rawhiti.
- Re-simulated Metarahi’s foliage to clear up any problematic placements.
- Fixed LODs on furniture at clubs and cinema
General
- Added achievements, this first batch just for visiting each area on Kiokio
- Certain spawn points are now locked until discovered for the first time (club and cinema available from start).
- Added key alias so Action menu can be opened with both F and 5 keys. (Users without a qwerty keyboard may only be able to use F key)
- Added alias for zoom, which can now be performed using scroll wheel.
- Added aliases for run and walk, which can be now performed using the right shift and ctrl keys.
- Added aliases for in-game menu, which can be also opened with f10.
- Added area population statistic system. This shows a breakdown of players per area when you look at the spawn menu including from the main menu.
- Added area chat, which can be accessed by “/2” or “/area”. This will chat to everyone who is in the same area (noted in lower right of screen) as you. This will be good to talk specifically to the club or cinema you are at.
- Fixed an issue with reverting to third person camera when sitting, camera is now correct distance away and you can see yourself properly, without having to move.
New-player experience Improvements
- Added population count to spawns when visible from main menu, plus, spawns will be ordered by current population, to ensure new players always end up where people are at – e.g. the dance club or cinema everyone may be at. This should also help negate the need to ask where people are.
- Initial spawn points reduced (with most unlockable within an hour or so of exploration gameplay) will help direct first time users to popular social hubs, rather than remote locations.
We will be adding more achievements very soon, and will also be looking to get both Steam stats and trading cards in over the next couple weeks. Please let us know if encounter any issues :)
