First of all, we'd like to thank everyone that uses SYMMETRY alpha. We originally released SYMMETRY alpha as a free download on February 14th, 2017, and without almost no promotion we’ve amassed over 10,000 users in more than 100 countries. Your feedback has been extremely valuable to us, and with that feedback we were able to create a new version of SYMMETRY that we believe will make a significant positive impact on the design workflow for everyone that uses it.
That said, from March 18, 2019 we will end support for SYMMETRY alpha. Though we'd love to continue to provide support to the community that incorporated SYMMETRY alpha into their workflow, we are a small startup and don't have the resources to continue to support SYMMETRY alpha along with our commercial software.
Moving forward, we strongly urge everyone to try the new SYMMETRY. Significant updates include annotations and freehand markups, measurements, and point cloud imports in VR along with SYMMETRY Cloud and the SYMMETRY Plugin for SketchUp. The VR workflow process has been significantly improved with SYMMETRY, allowing users to review their designs in VR and view design feedback in SketchUp for swift revision.
