Obsidian has been teasing new content for its sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds, and today it's fully pulled back the veil: a new DLC called Peril on Gorgon is on the way, with a release date set for September 9.
Obsidian previously revealed plans to launch Outer Worlds DLC this year to bring more story content, and that now seems to be coming to pass. "The reception to The Outer Worlds has been unbelievable to see," the developer wrote on the official forum back in December.
Peril on Gorgon takes you and the crew to the Gorgon Asteroid, which is the home of an abandoned research facility - as well as "corporate intrigue," as one character puts it in the trailer. The research facility appears to have at some point been a pretty plush destination, with The Outer Worlds' characteristic art deco interiors full of ornamental chandeliers and stuffy-looking waiter-bots. You'll be solving some kind of mystery, it seems - and the advice one character gives you when you set forth is "trust no one."
