This release has been in the works for a long time and I think it’s the biggest update we’ve ever made to Sketchbox: Storyboards and Google Poly.
VR Storyboards
You can now link multiple Sketchbox scenes together like slides in a presentation. We’ve also added a Presentation Mode which makes it super easy to walk anyone through a user flow. Especially someone who’s not too familiar with VR, like a client. You can put them in headset and step them through one scene at at time. They don’t even need to use the controllers and can’t ‘make a mistake’. Storyboards are particularly useful for long user flows like those found in a VR training simulations.
VR storyboards will also be fantastic for the pre-production of VR films, and animation. They’re infinitely better than a 2D storyboard at communicating how a shot really looks and feels.
Google Poly
We’ve added support for Google Poly so you can now import thousands of free models like these from Google Poly directly into your project. Next week you’ll be able to search through Poly models while you’re still in VR.
New Features
