When will the Beta end?
Before we release the beta, we did not imagine that we could attract many beta paticipants in a short period, so we said "up to 2 months". We will discuss this issue in few days and try to figure our a better schedule for beta. Once the end date determined, we will let you know.
Do you plan on wiping progress during Beta in the future?
Yes, after beta is done we will do complete wipe for all accounts. But all players participated in beta will get nice exclusive gfits after official release.
- Players over Level 30 will get an exclusive commander icon
- Players over level 50 will get an exclusive unit skin of Marauder
For more information please refer to this announcement.
When is the offcial release?
Not decided yet, and we will not offcially release the game soon after the beta ends. If you have tried our game, you could findout that we just have the core aspects of the game implemented. Features like new units and commander skills, better leaverbuster, better communication for players from different countries, more game modes... need to be done, and that needs time. But we will keep you update about our progress for sure!
What languages the Open Beta supports?
Art of War: Red Tides Open Beta supports Simplified Chinese and English, and the English translation is incomplete with many mistakes, as we did the translation by ourselves. Hope that will not disturb you a lot. We will try to improve it in next patches and we welcome any suggestion! Besides, we will try to support more languages in official release!
Will Art of War: Red Tides be a pay to win game?
We won't. As game developers we do not like those p2w games, and we won't do things that we hate. The Coins can purchase everything that can influence the battle, like units and runes. But coins can be gained only through battles, no other channels. Our planned monetization model is based on a third currency (unavailable in beta), which can be purchased with real money. It can be used to buy units skins, alternate skill effects and items for convinience like rune page. These items won't influence the battle completely. Besides, we also think boost items is not a bad idea, as not everyone has much time in playing games. In the end, I think if you had played the game you might found that even you have more units and runes, it still might be possible that you will lose to someone with default units and runes. Observe, Analyze, Action, Cooperation and then the Victory ---- This is the fun of game! Isn't it?
