This latest update to RuneSage focuses on in-game navigation, giving more help on what there is to do and where to do it. This includes adding an in-game map, fast travel menu options, help from NPCs, a list of outstanding quests and so on, as well as generally improving the layout and flow of the game.
The full list of changes from V0.12.0 is as follows.
- Added a map room into the mages village.
- Added five additional quests.
- Added new in-game menu to fast travel to locations.
- Added new in-game menu to view current & completed quests.
- Added new in-game menu to start a new adventure.
- Added more in-game help from the NPCs.
- Added more ambient sound effects to improve immersion.
- Added more auto-save checkpoints.
- Added the start of a new lava filled area - lots more to come in future releases.
- Improved the scroll text graphics.
- Improved the mage graphics.
- Improved the door graphics.
- Improved the crystal shield graphics.
- Improved performance of mages.
- Improved performance while loading levels.
- Improved the layout of the levels throughout the game.
- Fixed a bug with the draw height of small portcullises.
- Fixed a bug with the sun occasionally being visible underground.
- Fixed a bug with the AI of rats in the dungeon.
- Fixed a bug with dash teleport when trying to move through objects.
- Fixed a bug with mages appearing in the Sacred Grove too early in the game.
